Children Of the Future By Jane Suen is a dark thriller that features Telly the bus driver turned hero. Jane Suen is one of the authors that everyone should read at least one of her books in their lifetime. In this book she draws you down a narrow path of despair when all the towns children go missing but one and the race is on to find all the missing children. This book is exceptionally written and is a super quick read, I read the entire book in one morning I couldn’t bear to put it down. The whole time you are formulating a theory of the missing kids and by the end of the book you couldn’t be more wrong. Solid 5 stars from me.

Children of the Future by Jane Suen is a Young-Adult book. This is not my first book by this author but it ranks at the top of her books for me. I know what I am getting when I pick up one of her books. She takes me on a journey that is mysterious and different then I am use to. This book is about a group of children that come up missing. The school bus driver, Telly, is the one who discovers that the children are missing. While searching the school, he comes across one little boy, Billy. Will they be able to find the children before it is too late? Telly is a twenty-seven year old who has no children of his own but hopes some day. He is a strong character that is friendly and dedicated. The secondary characters in this book are supportive and make the story flow. This is a short, sweet, mystery that will keep you wondering what is going to happen next. I highly recommend this book. I read it in one sitting and I think you will too. Will Telly be able to find the children in time?

Children Of The Future by Jane Suen 5 Stars I have read all of this authors books and she never ceases to amaze me. Through most of the book you sit scratching your head asking where in the world is she going with this story, savoring every word along the way. This was a quick read, full of content. Not sure how she does it but she can in just a few pages build the best characters and her storylines are always out of this world. With so much going on in the world today this story was spot on, well maybe not all of it but if you read it you’ll know what I’m talking about. I loved Telly and the part he played and loved how there was enough of a build up that I could use my imagination for his future :) the ending was one I did not see thought process was way off as it was pretty obvious when the truth came out, but again this author weaves a story that when your done reading you just sit and think for a few minutes. Thank you Miss Suen for another thought provoking read. I love how she is so never know what you are gonna get when you open one of her books. Awesome!!

The book conveys a good message to readers through the story and children will enjoy the twists and turns, and suspense and mystery. The story is refreshingly original and the detailed narration will take readers right there where it is happening. The author manages to build up the suspense in the plot as the story progresses, and comes up with an unexpected ending. The book is good for bedtime story-telling. The storyline is interesting and the characters are well developed and the story will interest young adults too. The author does a great job of capturing the fears and frustrations of the people of the town of Rocky Flats and she manages to hold the attention of readers till the very end.

A well written debut novel. The author uses details well to help the reader imagine what's going on. I also found the main character easy to care about.
