Chimeras and the Limits of Casuistry in Jewish Bioethics

There are no legal precedents to guide Jewish ethical decision making, as in the case of chimeras. Decisors have to rely on moral principles derived from non-legal midrashic sources to help guide them. These component moral judges then weigh their intuitions against these principles in reaching a decision.
