I am a curious layman, not a theologian. I was looking for apologetics used by the New Testament Patriarchs that brought down Rome when I bumped into this Title. It takes up where my college Ethics, Sociology, etc. left off. Considers most all of the classical arguments of logic, then provides the most cogent arguments for Creative Deity and Christ's supremacy that I have encountered. Author brings in the arguments of the more liberal minded thinkers that most conservative theologians discard out of hand. Definitely a text book, not for the casual read, but if one is serious about their faith, they can hardly do better.
I found a copy of the first edition of this book in a thrift shop shortly after I became a Christian, and it has helped me immensely to understand the underlying logic of many worldviews I needed to consider if I was to be intellectually honest about my new faith. Certain parts of the book are a heavy read, but well reasoned. An extremely useful book for someone seriously considering the Christian worldview from an intellectual standpoint.
