This story is a tribute to the 1974 zombie movie - The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue -

Something sinister is lurking in the small farming town of Clifton Falls.

With the struggle to make ends meet, the local farming company become excited when a new chemical fertilizer is tested on the crops. But, when a crazy rainstorm washes the fertilizer onto a recently deceased homeless man, it brings him back to life to hunger for human flesh.

And he's not the only one.

In another part of town, a grieving son uses the fertilizer on his mother's grave, only to awaken another undead monster. As the zombie outbreak spreads, the police are put under pressure to stop the virus before it reaches the cemetery.

Filled with intense horror and dark humour, this book will take you on a wild ride through Clifton Falls, where the residents are fighting for their lives against a new enemy consisting of the rising DEAD!!

About the Author

Lee Andrew Taylor was born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, UK in 1969, moving to Bedworth, Warwickshire at the age of 9. All his life he's had a passion for creating things, whether it was new games to play with family and friends, drawing, or creating a story.
It was 1993 when Lee first dabbled in writing as an adult. He was at college when someone asked if he would enter a writing contest with other students. He agreed, and that's when the first idea for his killer rats novel - The S.T.A.R.S Project - came about. He wrote around 30 pages and kept the story safe, but in August 2018 it was released on Kindle, Paperback, Hardback & Audio.
In 1999, at the age of 30, Lee bought his first computer from a friend and immediately got down to writing a story that was growing inside his head from when he watched his first zombie movie as a child. CLIFTON FALLS - was originally finished in 2001, but wasn't released until around 2011. It was taken down from sale around 2015, but Lee has NOW re-released it as a 2-part novel with extra scenes. Part 3 was released in 2023, with Part 4 due out in early 2025.
Since then Lee has written - BEDBUGS (Can you see them?) - A story based on his childhood fear of the old saying - Night, night, sleep tight & don't let the bedbugs bite - Where he thought the bedbugs were really going to bite him if he didn't sleep tight.
It was originally released in 2012, but Lee took it down from sale to give it a makeover with an extra 4,000+ words. It was re-released in July 2020 on Kindle, paperback, hardback, & Audiobook.
Lee also writes movie scripts, with the likes of Elijah Wood's & Joe Dante's production companies' asking to read them. He's spoken to the director of the Sharknado movies on Skype about his Bedbugs idea and in 2019 wrote a sci-fi, horror TV pilot for a production company in the UK. He's had screenplays optioned in the past, so is hoping one of them gets turned into a movie.

Interesting take on the zombie origin! With a fast-paced and action-packed storyline set in a small town, add in an unscrupulous, perhaps unhinged. local reporter with a vendetta with the local police chief, and you have the makings of a disaster. Be prepared for a gruesome ride!

A damn fine book!
This is the first book by Lee Andrew Taylor I have read, and I wasn't disappointed. That being said, the tension is palpable in this book as all the layers begin to take shape.

Great story! - I have just finished Book 1 and am starting Book 2. This is very well written and not too fantastical like so many others with citizens usually just happening to have an arsenal of firearms...Also, much to my liking, it has the dead rising from the grave.

Be afraid! Be very afraid! Sleepy Clifton Falls has never known a time like this. Wave after wave of macabre jaw-dropping violence and death...and then undeath...as the zombies rise...with the police force reeling under the strain...whilst desperately trying to keep the news from getting out, and keeping the zombies at bay. And with the local news reporter up to no good...It's no wonder you end up exhausted at the end. A hell of a book!
