I waited for this book to be released with great anticipation, and was sorely disappointed. Poorly written, and a rehash of all that has gone before. The photographs were those used in other books, but so badly out of chronological order that it was distracting.

Couldn't get past the first few pages

There were alot of inconsistencies in Coco Chanel's life the truth and the real story. In my opinion the story seemed fragmented just did not flow. Coco seemed to be a sad soul who did not value family ( I guess because of her experience with life).

I was spellbound by this bio but to be truthful, when I came to the final page I think I knew less about this mysterious, iconic woman than I thought I did before I started the book! Madame Coco appears to have done such a magnificent job of reinventing herself from birth to death that it's doubtful to me that anybody will ever know the REAL Coco Chanel. Maybe, tho, it's not necessary to know her? What she left in her wake will live on forever. What civilized woman among us doesn't desire to own a piece of her famously distinctive fashion creations or the tiniest odd shaped vial of Chanel No. 5?

An excellent portrayal of one of the Twentieth centurys' most fascinating woman. Book gives her a pass on her Nazi involvement though.

I was looking forward to reading this book, but it got bogged down in way too many uninteresting details. She was quite a character, but I kept wondering how much was true.

I enjoyed this book. However, it seemed to me that the author probably sensationalized some parts. It's a good read though.

So beautifully shot, great acting, even better writing, a real treat with an authentic French flair. It's a great story.
