Bobbi-Jo Barker has been in love with the wrong man for years. A man who doesn't fit into the perfect, controlled life she's created.A man who not only broke her heart but nearly destroyed her. So the fact that he's back in town shouldn't matter because he's all wrong for her, or so she thinks...

Shane Gallagher, prodigal son, ex-con, and all around hellion, has returned to the small town of New Waterford to mend fences and get his life back. What he doesn't count on are the feelings he still has for the one woman who can break him—the one woman who is totally wrong for him.

And yet, as Bobbi and Shane are thrown together and begin to navigate a life with each other in it, neither can deny the attraction they feel, or the emotions that come with it—the good and the bad. And so the question becomes... can these two damaged souls survive a second chance at love?

This review was first posted at Reading Between the Wines! Bobbi-Jo Baker is about to get married. Maybe. Or at least she was supposed to until she left her fiance at the alter. Why did she leave her fiance at the alter? Because she didn't love him the way she loved Shane Gallagher, the man from her past. Well, the man that had been in her past but was very much in her present again since he'd been released from prison and was home in New Waterford. So Bobbi-Jo leaves her schmuck of a fiance at the alter, knowing that she'll never be able to love him the way she loves Shane, and she goes to a bar to get drunk. Sitting in that bar in a shadowy corner is Shane Gallagher. And he's sitting in the shadowy corner of a bar because he'd come there to get out of New Waterford while the former love of his life got married to another man. Now he's watching her sit on top of a bar-stool in a wedding dress drinking shots like a mad woman. You guys have to know that this is the beginning of a fantastic second chance love story! I have to say that I really loved Shane Gallagher. I loved him so much that I'm not willing to share him with Crystal 1 at all. *puts on my boxing gloves* I'll totally fight her for this book boyfriend! Bring it on sister! What did I love so much about Shane? Not only is he sexy, but he's bad ass and artistic. He's got the wounded soul every girl wants to fix. He's got a wicked imagination of kinky maneuvers. And he might be an ex-con, but he's not an A-hole. I didn't think I would like Bobbi-Jo as much as I did, but by the end of the book I loved her as well. Ms. Stone gave me a fantastic sequel that was even better than the first book, Offside, and I loved that book too! Can't wait to see what the third sister's book is like, but I'm betting Betty's story will be a doozy! The only reason I'm giving this 4.5 stars instead of 5 was because I loved Bobbi-Jo and Shane so much, that I felt the HEA was just a tad rushed. I didn't want it too end!

3.5 stars:  COLLIDE is the second installment in Juliana Stone’s New Adult contemporary romance The Barker Triplets series focusing on Billie-Jo, Bobbi-Jo and Betty-Jo Barker. Collide is Bobbi-Jo and Shane Gallagher’s storyline-another storyline of second chances and forgiveness. Like the first storyline-OFFSIDE- the characters are flawed in such a way that it took some time before Bobbi-Jo became less of an irritant to the flow of the story.  There is a history between Bobbi-Jo and Shane and one that is mired in secrets, betrayal and heartbreaking sorrow. Their prior relationship was tumultuous, aggressive and during a time when both were too young to accept full responsibility for their actions.  But decisions were made and betrayal revealed that resulted in years of misunderstanding, painful memories and hateful scorn.  When our couple, finally reconnect with each other, the truth will hurt but will bring about an end to their anguish and pain. COLLIDE is another interesting storyline of second chances and forgiveness.  The Barker Triplets are a trio of twenty five year old sisters who are not the easiest characters to like in the early stages of the series and successive novels.  Betty –Jo’s story has yet to be told and she is by far the nastiest piece of work of the three.  The sister’s animosity towards each other is fueled by jealousy and anger and, the pain of their father’s deteriorating health. COLLIDE is a fast paced, sometimes heartbreaking storyline of two people so much in love with each other that they continue to hurt one another at every turn.  It will take the truth about what happened year before to put the past behind them and begin a new life together.

This book is really good. It carries the characters from the first book, but forces heavily on new ones. I have read it multiple times when I needed to read a feel good book.

in a bundle pack, and really liked it. So much that I immediately purchased this book, turns out it's better than the first. There are 3 sisters so you know going in there is at least 1 more book, but as I got a small taste of this 3rd sister, I could not stand her nor care if she fell off the face of the planet. I think though I will read the the next book about Betty because I really like what I have read so far by this author, and maybe there will be something redeeming about Betty Jo. Thanks.

This is an awesome book. I don't know why it was the second book in the series. The love story between Shane and Bobbi is hot and powerful. The author should have left it for last to build the suspence. I hated when it just ended. I didn't find a connection to the last book about Betty. Read this book.

Boy, are these women different! Each girl has a complex life. Good read.

The book could have used an additional editor, but the story was good. The characters (especially the secondary ones) are very well developed. I could have used a little more scenery descriptions (I didn't realize we were in Michigan until like 3/4's of the way through the book), but that could just be me. I'm very interested to learn more about the other characters.

Bobbi-Jo what a firecracker this one is I like her not as Sweet like Billi Jo. Shane is like the only one to calm her and live outside of her comfort zone. These girls are so different. There poor dad is no help there taking care of him now. Can wait for the next one

Their love has always been a disaster, and when it all came to a head, Bobbi and Shane were left in tatters. Bobbi's moved on with her life, becoming some plastic, pseudo-perfect version of her former self and getting engaged to a guy who is everything she could ever want — on the surface. Shane knows better than to think he and Bobbi will ever be anything but explosive together — and not in a good way. They'd ripped each other apart before he landed in prison, and now that he's back, she's a shadow of the woman he remembers. But when she shows up at a bar instead of at her own wedding, they're in for a messy trip down memory lane. But... Unfortunately, the editing is just as bad in this one as it was in Offside. Still a great story, but the mistakes were pretty glaring, and it just irks the hell out of me when a story I love this much doesn't get that part of the work it deserves. The Verdict: Okay, I have to admit that I absolutely hated Bobbi in Offside, and that made me curious about seeing things through her jaded eyes. But what I really wanted to read about was Shane. He was so incredibly hot in the first book, even though he wasn't a main player, that I was dying to see more of him. Sadly, the closer look into Shane's mind took away some of that delectable mystery I loved about him so much in Offside, but damned if he wasn't still just as twisted up and hot as I'd hoped. It's clear that despite every bit of hurt in their pasts, he and Bobbi belong together, and he's not about to let her get away this time. And Bobbi… Well, I warmed up to her in the first chapter. She'd clearly been wearing a mask for far too long, her way of coping with the problems at home and her broken heart. The snark and banter between her and Shane was to die for, and their chemistry was off the charts. Of course, like most romances, there was also a secret to be revealed, but it was more heartbreaking than dark, and instead of creating a rift between them, it forced them to reevaluate things and actually give into their very real feelings for each other. All in all, Collide is another great book, just as evil as the first one in that it made me immediately buy the next one in the series.
