Coming Home
If Jade had learned anything in her short life is that nothing is ever guaranteed. Especially if you were born into this world with a destined curse such was hers. Upon going to bed, it's never promised tomorrow will arrive. Life evidently seems like no more than taking two step forward before your past pulls you back into a well of darkened memories. I have lived my life so many times thinking about why I was chosen in this whirlwind dance with each nightmare I have endured, when Pollyanna Doolittle next door had a perfect life. Jade was never envious of Pollyanna of next door, although on many occasions I would often daydream I could switch places with her.
They say karmically we bring upon ourselves our "baggage" from our past lives. Jade never understood how a person could want to continually relive everyday a nightmare once endured, yet forgotten through a traumatic process such that is birth. Yet, here she sat wondering still why it followed her into this life. I will tell you this much life isn't just about living, its surviving. I learned to survive in a most emotionally challenged way. As I now sit in the doctor's office awaiting another fate which is destined to be mine as a byproduct of all the harm inflicted from my past. Apparently by not letting the past go you plant seeds of festering poison in your soul which will exceed your expectations when reaping it later in life.

About the Author

I am a small town girl who grew up in a small town world. I have five lovely children, 13 grandchildren. I enjoy the love of family.
I firmly believe there are children in this world who grow up with so many forms of abuse and they don't understand why they keep "messing up" their lives. What no one has stopped to help these kids do before they become adults is explain to them or help them undo the damage that is done. It took me forty years to finally realize and start to untangle the effects of abuse which occurred most of my life from the age of 3. If my writing can help one person or one person reads my book and says, "I get it" then its worth every written page.
