When you are a beginner, bidding correctly is really an awesome problem! This book is the absolute best one I have ever used. It helps take away the panic and adds joy to learning to bid. Give it a try and you will be excited the next time you play bridge!

I bought this book in a bridge tournament and read while waiting for my friend to play in the tournament. I knew very little about bridge or bidding. To everyone's surprise, I was able to play shortly after reading it and memorizing many parts. After 12 years and many more books and games, I still find this book to be the best basic bidding book and a great reference. It is also a great gift to friends who show interest in the game.
