Overview

Ever since Harry Angstrom, in Run, Rabbit, took off from home without prior notice, abandoning and Janice Nelson, twenty years have passed, and ten from the febrile events described in The Return of Rabbit. Harry has managed to finally enjoy a considerable prosperity as head of sales Springer Motors, a dealer of Toyota in Pennsylvania. In 1979, the Skylab orbiting describes his triumphant, the price of gasoline goes up dramatically, the president of the United States is suffering a collapse as he runs a marathon, and a rise in inflation coincides with a time of national disappointment. However, Harry is in good shape, ready to enjoy an end-of-life ... until his son returns from the West and an old love reappeared. However, the incombustible Conejo will continue to look at his eccentric way, the rainbow of happiness.

About the Author

Best known for his Rabbit novels, John Updike (1932-2009) was also a master of the short story, whose work appeared regularly in The New Yorker. "A&P," one of his classic stories took aim at suburban life, as did many of his longer books. Rabbit Is Rich (1982) and Rabbit at Rest (1990) both won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. Updike dominated the literary scene for decades, writing not just fiction but also essays, poems, book reviews, and art criticism.
