Coon Flakes: Musings of an Uppity Negro

Provocative and contemptuous writer Cory Alexander Haywood has stirred the ire of numerous critics with his off-the-wall and defiantly crass opinions about race, popular culture and religion.

In this compilation of his most controversial writings, the native of Los Angeles' inner city posits that racism's impact on the African-American community pales in comparison to issues like gang-violence, single-parent homes, teen pregnancy, welfare dependency, poor education, and tribalism.

Coon Flakes: The Musings of an Uppity Negro examines what the author considers "the unbridled buffoonery threatening to permanently extinguish Black progress." From start to finish, the author provides a no-holds-barred analysis of urban crime and a merciless denunciation of self-serving social justice warriors. With colorful metaphors and skillful punchlines, Haywood successfully raises a massive middle finger to political correctness and the numerous excuses created to justify "negro foolishness".

About the Author

Cory Haywood is an American conservative social and political commentator, writer, journalist, satirist, and provocateur. His work has been published in LA Weekly, The Chicago Defender, The Washington Informer, The Atlanta Daily World, The New Pittsburgh Courier, and other publications. He also contributes regularly to the Electronic Urban Report (Eurweb.com) and has devoted more than a decade of service to Our Weekly Newspaper - a Los Angeles-based periodical that focuses on black community affairs throughout the city and surrounding areas. Despite the rise of political correctness in modern culture, Haywood articulates his thoughts with the fearlessness of a soldier thrusting himself into battle. He’s not only a writer, he’s a warrior for truth.
