About the Author

Bruce N. Eimer, Ph.D., A.B.P.P., is a board certified, licensed clinical psychologist with over thirty years of experience helping people cope with problems in living. He specializes in short-term, solution oriented therapies for problems of anxiety, phobias, trauma, stress, depression, chronic pain, medical illness, aging, the elderly, relationship dysfunction, families, children, adolescents, couples, as well as job dissatisfaction and disability. Dr. Eimer has been in the private practice of Clinical and School Psychology in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area for over 22 years. He is the President of Alternative Behavior Associates and the Behavior Therapy Center. He is a Life Member of the American Psychological Association and a Board Certified Diplomate in Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology. Moshe S. Torem, M.D., is the Founder and Medical Director for the Center for Mind-Body Medicine at Akron’s General Hospital Health and Wellness Center in Akron Ohio. He is also an Examiner on the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and was the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Northeastern Ohio University. He has supervised or taught at several hospitals in Ohio and is a member of numerous societies including the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine. He has written over 100 articles for professional journals, including American Journal of Psychiatry, Contemporary Psychiatry, Psychiatry Law and Ethics, and Psychiatric Medicine. Dr. Torem has also been the recipient of various awards, including the Distinguished Service Award from The General Assembly of the State of Ohio Senate and three Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching from Akron General Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry, and Northeastern Ohio Universities, College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry.
