Is it a primer in Lacanian psychoanalytic theory for the lovelorn? A handbook on masturbation? An admittedly unreliable introduction to the history of Basque separatism? Si, si, y si. But it's also a sad and funny story, and strange as it may seem, a page-turner from beginning to end. I fell in love with this book.
