Pigs, chickens, cows, workhorses, cats, dogs, fish and frogs, even an occasional skunk or a fox were all part of this author’s childhood. She lived with her family in little home built by her father in the shadow of her grandfather’s small dairy farm, surrounded by aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents.
