Overview

Exhausted with carrying around the weight of a damaged past, Cara is ready to take the ultimate step in finding her old self, before she met and married her evil husband. She needs to get away from the small town where rumors are spinning and people know her. When she visits Nirvana Ranch, an R&R, she realizes life isn't as bleak as she thought.

Ben is missing something. He doesn't feel the excitement he once did as a ranch hand at Nirvana, until he meets a guest that turns his world upside down. He has a connection with her that he can't brush off or deny. Getting to know her breaks every rule in his book, but he is willing to take the risk.

Cara didn't expect her life to change the moment sexy and rugged Ben walks in. Parts of her are flaming hot for cowboy, and she has an opportunity to break the rules, something her husband never allowed. Ben triggers her every fantasy and every desire. She's on the ride of her life and it doesn't require a saddle.
What started as a strong urge to take Cara to a new level of passion becomes much, much more for Ben. Cara's touch destroys the boundaries he'd built--exposing a secret of his own, a past of heartache and guilt.

Warning: Read at your own risk of falling for a cowboy.

About the Author

At an early, Rhonda fell in love with romance novels, knowing one day she’d write her own love story. Life took a short detour, but when the story ideas would no longer be contained, she decided to dive in and write. Her first rough draft was on a dirty napkin she found buried in her car. Eventually, she ran out of napkins. With baby on one hip and laptop on the other, she made a dream into reality—one word at a time.
Her specialty is men who love to get their hands dirty and women who are smart, strong and flawed. She loves writing about the everyday hero.
When Rhonda isn't crafting sizzling manuscripts, you will find her busy editing novels, blogging, juggling kids and animals (too many to name), dreaming of a beach house and keeping romance alive. Oh, and drinking lots of coffee to keep up with her characters.

Wow She has been abused and treated badly. We has been seeing a councilor about everything. She suggest Nirvana's Ranch. It's a place of healing. The place is perfect for finding yourself again.

'Cowboy Paradise' (Cowboys of Nirvana Book 1) by Rhonda Lee Carver is a great read. I loved reading about Cara and Ben. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series. This story was packed full of passion, second chances, learning to overcome events in your past, and hot cowboys. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, and hot cowboys.

4 star The story has laughs, betrayal, pain, healing love, and heartbreak. This is Cara and Ben’s story. When Cara goes to Nirvana Ranch she is trying new things and healing from her past. She needs time away from all the rumors in her small town. Ben works at Nirvana. He sees Cara before she checks in to the Ranch and helps her out. Now he can’t get her out of his head. He can tell she is a little broken. When the passion flares between them they have to decide if it’s really okay for them to act on the attraction. After all Ben is staying at the ranch and Cara will go back home right? When the passion turns into more will Ben want to leave the ranch to go back with Cara or will Cara run before Ben gets the chance to find out what he wants? I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book.

The start of the story is dark and made me cry. But boy oh boy did things lighten up and become fantastically fun.  Cara’s abusive husband died and now her therapist said she can’t do anything else for her, and recommends that she goes to Nirvana.  I thought the descriptions were great. I love the people we get to meet and I will be watching for more about the cowboys from Nirvana. I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Cara was married to an abusive man. She suffered both physical and emotional abuse. He made her believe she was ugly, fat, stupid, no good in bed, and utterly useless. Three years after his death, Cara still hasn't recovered from the emotional abuse. Her therapist suggests she visit Nirvana Ranch-- a retreat to reviltalize her soul. Ben is a ranch hand at Nirvana Ranch. His job is to take the guests to and from appointments, teach them to fish or ride a horse, be a good listener and a shoulder to cry on. He is not supposed to become romantically involved with the guests. Ben is carrying a huge burden from a tragic accident that he blames himself for. When Ben meets Cara, he is drawn to her and wants to help her realize what a beautiful, worthwhile woman she really is. Cara is attracted to Ben and finds herself having feelings of sexual arousal unlike anything she has ever experienced. Can they help each other come to terms with their pasts and achieve a HEA? Cowboy Paradise is a highly enjoyable story. Ben and Cara are two damaged souls who help each other heal. They come across as real people-- they don't have all the answers but simply try their best. Even though both characters have heavy baggage, this is definitely not a dark, angsty story. I wish Ben's backstory had been described in more detail. When he left home, his parents lost both their children and it would have been nice to know a little more about his family. I wish there was a real Nirvana ranch. I would love to go there on vacation. Not for romance ;-) but for the amenities offered. It would be a relaxing experience. I don't know if the author plans on another book with Ben and Cara but I would like to spend more time with them. This is the first book I have read by Rhonda Lee Carver but I plan on reading more. I highly recommend reading Cowboy Paradise. 4.5 Stars
