Crucify is a five-song EP that builds upon the success of Little Earthquakes. Most notable among the songs is her voice/piano reading of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," showing what a fine songwriter Kurt Cobain is; the title song (a different mix than the version on Earthquakes) and her versions of the Rolling Stones' "Angie" and Led Zeppelin's "Thank You" are equally noteworthy.

I play this song daily on a Gospel radio station in sunny Florida, but I'm not a DJ. Most of what's played is I love you Father, I love you Jesus, over and over, I love you Holy Spirit -- never I love you Mary, but anyways... I consider Crucify to be the more honest side of a relationship with God, which cannot be avoided.
My first introduction to Tori was "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in a songwriting class. Ever since then, I've been hooked. Her voice is haunting and her interpretations of that cover and the many others she does throughout her career are emotional and stunning. Thank You had to grow on me, but all the others on this CD I had to have.
