Out of the 3 books this was to complicated for me. Too many characters, with too many past references. I like her series but didn’t like this one as much as the first two.

Crystal Vision is the third book in the Crystal Magic trilogy which brings the Malcolm and Ives gifts to the modern day. Based in Hillvale, CA, a town full of entertaining eccentrics and ghosts, this final story completes the saga of the mystery of the crystals which are used in art but can bring evil to the artist. This book centers around Mariah and Keegan who are drawn together in their search for answers after the murder of Daisy, the only person Mariah considered “family” and who kept her grounded and away from her impulses. Mariah is hiding her true identity, but Hillvale is a place where secrets abound and she is not pressed to reveal her past. She spends her days creating and cleaning ghostcatchers and working at the diner. She has the gift of telepathy and one mystery about her is finally answered in this story – why are computers off limits to her? Geologist and mineralogist Keegan Ives and has the ability to determine crystalline structure with his hands but needs to learn how to spot the reason for some of the rocks evil essence. He is in Hillvale to try to find journals from the 1700s which were stolen from his library in Scotland and to find a way to prove his father is not guilty of fraud. Who discovered the deceit in their business and who was behind the greed which engineered the fraud? I highly recommend Crystal Vision as it is a fast moving read and will keep your attention with love, mystery, humor and fighting an unknown evil. It has numerous twists and turns in both the plot and family dynamics and I enjoyed the eccentricities of characters we have gotten to know through the series. The books contains a number of characters with stories still to tell, so I hope Patricia Rice has those stories coming in the future. Crystal Vision can be read as a stand-alone, but so much of the story is intertwined with Sapphire Nights and Topaz Dreams that I would recommend reading them in order.

I like all of the characters. They are all a little odd but are working to help their dying town. I was happy to learn Mariah's story and meet Keegan. When one of their beloved Lucys is killed, the Lucys try to find out who would do such a thing. Mariah is sure that Keegan is a great, big Null. But when she is around him, he centers her. She is so tempted to get on the internet and research Keegan and his family, but she can't touch a computer. It will only lead to disaster. Keegan is there to look for some journals that went missing from his family's library, but he can't let anyone know that. It turns out that he isn't such a Null after all and he and Mariah join together to not only find the killer, but to find the answer to the mystery of the crystals.

Crystal Vision by Patricia Rice Crystal Magic #3 Evil…is it in the crystals, the soil, the people, the vortex or something else that lurks in Hillvale? It may take a few more books to find out for sure but I am eager to read each and every one of them because each builds on the previous one creating a community of people that pull together, is a bit odd, and has paranormal “Lucys” as well as non-paranormal “Nulls” that populate the town. With murders, avarice, squabbles, mysteries and more to contend with each book provides a bit more of the past as those in the present do their best to be their best while being caretakers of the land and all that is within it so that there will be a future for Hillvale. In this book Mariah and Keegan, each with secrets, spend time together working to solve some crystal mysteries and manage to thwart evil doers with the help of friends in the community. Characters from previous books make an appearance and well…I had a good time reading and catching up with everyone while watching this unlikely couple find a way toward their own HEA. I am eager to find out what will happen in book four and wonder who will find their partner within its pages. Did I like this book? Yes Will I read more in the series? Definitely Did Keegan and Maria deserve their HEA? Without a doubt ;) Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review. 5 Stars

In this story we find out why Mariah is hiding out in Hillvale and see a man pierce her emotional armour. We also catch up with Sam and Walker, Theo and Kurt and many of the other characters met in books 1 and 2. Hillvale is a strange town, with strange people; gradually as the series progresses from book to book we are learning of individuals abilities and their back stories. Whilst this story (like the others) is complete in itself and focuses on a different couple, individuals met in the earlier books are entwined within the story. It is therefore recommended that you read the novels in order of publication. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
