About the Author

USA Today bestselling author Lynn Raye Harris burst onto the scene when she won a writing contest held by Harlequin. A former finalist for the Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart Award and the National Readers Choice Award, Lynn lives in Alabama with her handsome former military husband and two crazy cats. Lynn writes about hot military heroes, sizzling international billionaires, and the women who dare to tame them. Her books have been called “exceptional and emotional,” “intense,” and “sizzling.”

Ten Random Things About Lynn You Might Find Cool:

1. I’m a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. This makes my husband a HODAR (Husband of DAR), which I find hilarious.

2. I used to ride show jumpers when I was a teenager. Other teens were going out with their friends while I was riding horses every evening after school.

3. I’ll try any kind of food once, unless it’s really weird (like scorpion-on-a-stick). I have eclectic tastes and I believe life is an adventure! Why not try the food, right?

4. I got married in Germany and I have two anniversaries. The first is the civil ceremony, performed by the Burger Meister, and the second is the church wedding, which was the next day.

5. I used to live in Hawaii. This was every bit as cool as it sounds.

6. Though I lived in Hawaii, I am not a water sport kind of person. I do not surf. I do not snorkel. I do not like sticking my toes in an ocean in which sharks also swim. I did it on occasion, but it’s not my favorite thing to do. I’d rather look at the water from the beach.

7. Flying used to terrify me, and now I like it. Except for the long lines and security and all that stuff, of course.

¿8. I’m an introvert, which is pretty typical for a writer. I love going to events and meeting readers, but I’m kinda scared too. What if you don’t like me?

9. I don’t eat dessert very often. I’m just not a sweets kind of person. I’d rather have the savory than the sweet. Chocolate is good, and I like it, but I don’t have to have it.

10. I will read just about everything. Except horror. It scares me.

Ok story, not great. Didn't grab my attention and pull me along like a good story. Focussed too much on the sex and not enough on building an interesting story line.

4.5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, betrayal, suspense, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Hot Pursuit (Hostile Operations Team, #1) Hot Mess (Hostile Operations Team, #2) Hot Package (Hostile Operations Team, #3) This is Lucky and Kevin “Big Mac” MacDonald’s story. Lucky has had a hard few years. But the team needs her back. She is the only person to see the man they must take down. She agrees to help out the team even after she was injured the last time she was near the man she needs to help take down. Only problem is she is not going in alone. She is going in with the one man who left her when she was at her worst. Can she turn off her anger at Kev to get the mission done? What if it’s not just anger she feels for him? Will they be able to complete the mission with all the heat and passion that is between them? Or will she be taken and gone from him for good just when they thought they had the enemy? Will he survive if something happened to her or if they never get her back? I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Dangerously Hot is a searingly HOT and suspenseful read Dangerously Hot, book four in Lynn Raye Harris’ Hostile Operations Team series, hit all the right marks for me. I loved the second-chance story former HOT team member Lucky San Ramos and current team member Kevin “Big Mac” MacDonald. I’d been curious about Lucky for a while (she’d been mentioned and made a brief appearance in earlier stories) and, well, Kevin is HOT. (Yes, the HOT acronym for this series might do double duty to describe these alpha bad boy team members.) I cried a bit with Lucky as she recalled why she married Marco upon Kevin’s desertion (As only she calls him Kevin, hope he doesn’t mind me taking that same liberty.) From the moment she’s recalled under duress to the HOT Team from surfing in Hawaii in order to search out her former captor and most-wanted terrorist, I was hooked. I really liked how Harris portrayed Kevin and Lucky. How their mutual wariness was transcended - bit by bit. And I really liked the fact that Kevin never could figure out why Lucky didn’t fall for him years ago, like all the other women who ran through his revolving relationship door. Harris really shows how each of these characters really matured and grew, finally ready to perhaps explore a new dynamic now. With the assignment of Lucky and Kevin undercover as husband and wife, it’s not a stretch to see that turning into something more. But along with the relationship, Harris also provides a fast-paced, engrossing plot that made me burn through those Kindle pages, without stopping. I highly recommend both this book and the HOT series. Five Stars

Danger Ahead The HOT team are at it once again and this time it's Kevin "Big Mac" MacDonald's turn. We knew from previous books that him and Lucky had unresolved issues. We'll let me tell you the road to happily ever after for this dynamic duo is filled with so much actions it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Each book gets better and better and I for one can't wait to see who's next in this superior cast of characters.

It's a thriller, action-filled, special ops romance. Lots going on in this book but blends well and keeps your attention.

I love the stories of HOT! The military-romance genre is fairly new to me as I've only been reading it for about a year, but I definitely think these are some of the best I read. Each book revolves around one couple, but you get to meet each of the HOT operatives in some way. This one was Kev and Lucky's turn to be in the spotlight and it was fantastic...emotional and at times frustrating, but in the end it all worked out. I'm curious to see which guy gets their story told next and will be waiting very impatiently for it to hit the pre-order list. Totally recommend this series to anyone who likes a little action with their......action. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

The synopsis sums up the story perfectly, so I will jump in to my review. This is one series I’m enjoying as more books come out. I also like the ebb and flow from book to book, meaning not every single one is way up there in terms of action versus romance. Dangerously Hot was a nice blend of both but definitely focused more on the romance. Despite that, I liked the location changes between the US and what I assume was a fictitious region in the Middle East. Lucky and Kev made a nice couple. I haven’t read book three, so I’m not sure if the incident in North Africa was mentioned in that book (and I can’t remember if it was mentioned in books one or two either), but I liked that a pre-existing connection between them was already established, which made the progression of their relationship more believable. As far as back story, I thought both characters were fleshed out well, and I understood where they were coming from. Kevin carried a lot of baggage in the form of survivor’s guilt. His abusive father killed his mother and sister before killing himself. But along with that guilt also came a strong protective instinct, especially where Lucky was concerned. That protection only went so far, and when he could have had more with her, he decided he couldn’t be what (he thought) she needed at the time. It would have been easy to peg him as the type of stubborn hero who makes up his mind for both himself and the heroine. However, factoring in that he’d lost his family and later on his best friend, his fear of abandonment was understandable. With Lucky, I got the feeling she was a very likeable person before her life went to hell in a handbasket. What happened to her made her cautious, but not to an annoying point. I liked that she pushed herself in increments to bare her feelings to Kev throughout the story. She wasn’t a whiny, shrinking violet. I liked that she showed some fire as her character arc progressed. The action was decent¿more subdued than book one but faster paced than book two. If anything, it served as a catalyst to throw these two together in close confines and lead to the inevitable. The sex scenes were steamy and not too much. They didn’t feel forced and didn’t distract from the plot. One thing I love in my romantic suspense books is when the author dares to push the envelope with the heroine, either all the way or by varying degrees. I believed Lucky’s fear about facing her tormentor, and I admired her strength to see things through until the end, no matter the outcome. Lucky made great strides in going from hiding in paradise to being one fierce female. I had no real complaints about the story, but I did feel that Kevin dwelt a little too long or too often on the fact that he was being “unfaithful” to Marco by wanting and sleeping with Lucky. And in her case, I didn’t really see the big deal of telling Kevin that Marco had planned to ask her for a divorce. So they weren’t soul mates. At least they were in the process of ending things amicably. That was just my personal observation. Don’t let that stop you from picking this up. I'm already looking forward to book five.
