A tautly written debut novel, it's a riveting mystery with rich characters and a complex history revealed tantalizingly in flashbacks. A page-turner in the style of "Reconstructing Amelia," it keeps you guessing. Well-written prose and sharp style. Thumbs up.

Engrossing story, the characters were well developed and I did not want to put the book down. The book was about loss and grief but unlike the other reader, I did not find it depressing. I will be checking out this author for more.

Read the free sample and was intrigued enough to order the book, but became disappointed with the way the plot and characters developed. Would not recommend.

I found this to be a very dark, depressing story. The characters were not appealing at all.

Was very hard to get into this book. Very depressing story,no noble characters, everyone was messed up. Didnt get interesting until more than halfway in. Ending was disappointing.
