This was an excellent book with very colorful illustrations detailing the adventures of Dash. My grandkids enjoyed the story so much that it has become required reading when they spend the night. They keep asking about the other adventures that Dash gets involved in and I can only tell them when the next book comes out we will certainly have this as nightly reading as well. We actually went in and purchased a few more of these books to give away at baby showers and presents for little ones. Looking forward to another installment from one of our newest favorite children's author, Nicole MacDonald.

Meet Dash, a fun-loving pup who loves to dress up, wear new costumes every day, and go out to play in the storybook Dash's Week by Nicole MacDonald. Dash loves to dream and he is imaginative. The story takes young readers on a journey with Dash and his adventures. They see Dash becoming a pirate who sets out in search of diamonds and gold, a lion running and roaring through the grassy green plains, an astronaut who is headed to space, a superhero who is ready to save the day, a cowboy who sits on the ranch in the wild, wild, west, a master magician, and a chef who loves cooking. Let us join Dash and make our weekdays as exciting and adventurous as his!
The story is adorable and will encourage children to imagine and be creative. The rhyming verses give fluidity and pace to the author's expressions and make Dash's imagination and adventures palpable. Claudia Varjotie adds to the delight of the story with her wonderful images that give personality to Dash and bring the scenes alive for readers. The story also has an underlying message of kindness that runs subtly through it. It is a good storybook for storytelling sessions at home and classrooms because it not only encourages children to be imaginative and creative but also teaches them kindness through Dash. Everyone can have fun like Dash, and everyone can become a hero like Dash, and every day of the week can be exciting and adventurous!

This is a great story for young readers, and the illustrations are amazing. I loved the message about doing good deeds and having them come back to you in the end. Good Karma. Fun Book
