Just picked it up in "once-in-a-lifetime chance" situation and found out it was pretty much gold. Well written (and edited, with minimal error) and the story is pretty interesting, though it is somewhat similar to the theme of Gantz. An interesting read and art is very reminiscent of Eureka 7 (same author). Takes a somewhat unoriginal beginning setup, with a school setting, then the main character meeting trouble and being sent to a prison (similar to setup in Gantz) but still an interesting read and well done enough to pull the reader through to the end with no problem. Art again is at high quality and content is also high quality, with many pages compared to some other manga. A definitely good read and hope that the coming volumes maintain or exceed current quality.

Excellent Manga with a very meaningful yet dark story line, this is a great manga series. The manga has fantastic artwork, a little humor to lite it up a bit, wonderful character development and decent writing. If you like the anime, this is definitely for you. In my opinion the Manga series is better then the anime series. I highly recommend it!!!

A friend recamended this series to me a while ago. Then about a couple months later I read a prieview for it. I read the frist few pages of it, and I already HAD to buy it. When I got the book I couldn't put it down. It's got action, violance, and comlete insanity! And not to mention how big the volume is. It about double the size of a normal first volume manga. I'd recamend this to all my friends and fellow otakus. Just make sure you're not under 12 and spend all your time reading shojo beat.

Just now getting back into Manga, and I gotta say I love this series. I'll more than likely comment per volume. I've heard of Deadman Wonderland but never actually took the time to actually read it. I came along the series while at B&N and decided to at least get the first two to see if I enjoyed it. Because they only consist of around 200+ pages with minimal conversation, I was able to read the first 2 extremely quickly-within the evening. I gotta say that is is extremely quick pace and full of action with a good bit of gore. It really keeps you flipping pages to see what's next and really root for Ganta Igarashi to beat all evil. Although, I gotta say my favorite character so far is Shiro- A bubbly and a bit clumsy girl. She has lots of energy, most likely from the fact she eats nothing but sweets. She, although carefree becomes a large part of the story. Although fast past and quick to read, I'm excited to finish this series, and totally recommend it for just about anybody and everybody.

Eh, it was really interesting at the start but I honestly lost interest after a few chapters. I was fully expecting to love this manga but ended up with the opposite. Interesting idea but boring approach.
