This a nice quick read. It's a novella that can be read in one sitting. I really enjoyed this one. The paranormal aspect won me over. I enjoy a good with witches and magic. I liked Rose. She feels like something is missing in her life, but she's in for a world of surprise when she finds out the magical truth. I felt Sam was great for Rose because he has the touch to introduce her to the world. If you're looking for a quick read that will satisfy then look no further.

He has come to town to help her with business, but he also wants to help her awaken her powers so that she can help her grandparents. Her mother has always told her that magic is no good and to keep her head out of the clouds. But, once they come together, her powers are awakened and she has to make a choice. Will he be able to keep her?

Decadent Desires is a cute, clever retelling of the Sleeping Beauty story. Instead of literally being asleep, Rose McBriar (get it?)'s magic abilities have been suppressed. Her evil boss Millicent (visually close to Maleficent, but am I the only one who tends to see all Millicents as kindly little old ladies?) wants to keep Rose under her thumb, reaping the rewards of Rose's mad game development skills all for her own benefit. This was my first read in the Karma Cafe series. On the whole it worked just fine as a standalone--each story has its own hero, heroine, and plot--though I did feel a bit out of the loop on the significance of the apartment above the cafe at first (no worries, Sam and Rose are too--it does become revealed in time, mostly). It was fun to look for the Sleeping Beauty parallels, and Sam and Rose are easy to root for. There is more than a touch of instalove, though, and a longer format probably might have given us more Sam-and-Rose-together-time than this novella affords. Still, it was a fun way to spend an evening, and I'll definitely pick up other books in the series in the future. Rating: 3 1/2 stars / B- I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Delightfully funny, sweetly charming, emotionally thrilling romantic journey that helps one woman find the family and the destiny she felt but never really knew she had. Rose MacBriar is a video game designer that is creative, wicked smart and not entirely sure why her mother has such an aversion to any talk of magic. Samson Phillips is a fantasy fiction writer and in town to help her with her latest game's story line. What she does not know is he also knows her mothers family and is there to help her reunite with them. Loved this short but highly entertaining adventure.

have really enjoyed this series. Magic, whimsy and romance. Who could ask for more. When fantasy writer Sampson Phillips agrees to write the story for video game designer Rose MacBriar, he never sees what is coming. He knows she has magic, and he's willing to help her find it, but his reaction to her startles even him. But there's something magical about this place and his old friends that even he didn't know about. Can he really fall in love that fast? Rose has to make this the best game ever. Tied to the company by guilt and a sense of owing them something, she has to make every aspect of it the best. But bringing sexy Sampson I to the mix face to face brings more challenges than she saw coming. The attraction is mind blowing. And when she learns the truth about who and what she is she has decisions to make. One being can she be with a man who his something like this from her? Can they overcome and find happiness?

Samson Phillips had a job to do. His goal to reconcile one Rose MacBriar with her grandparents and maybe awake the magic in her. Rose is in desperate need to finish her latest game and needs Sam’s help to get the plot and storyline just right. Little does she know that fate has other plans in store for her. What a fun quick read. I so want more from this series.

Back to the magic bakery and the infamous upstairs apartment. I love this series with magic witches and love. When an old friend shows up at the cafe he needs their help with a new friend. It turns out that his friend is related to old friends of the grandmother and mother. Powerful witches all. Family issues, business issues, and a pending romance. Read the fun as the magic comes together to unite lovers and families. You'll find out how that apartment helps out if you haven't read the other stories. You can always count on the three generations of witches pitching in for love. Don't miss the wonderful characters, fun story, and touching love with an HEA. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

I really liked how Rose was able to create the rose petals, lights, and colors when she was with Sam. The Karma Cafe was easily conveyed as being magical, along with the eclectically designed apartment. The cauldron in the kitchen was a pretty sweet touch. It was interesting how the Karma Cafe also gave of the sense of comfort. All of the characters were engaging, and I did like them. That is, with the exception of Millicent and Effe, but they served their purpose. I was not sure if Millicent was evil in the magical sense, or just evil because she was not a decent person. Effe's reason for doing what she did became clear later in the book. I felt like Anja, Natalia, and Odette's purpose was to help Rose along in embracing her magic. I have not read books 1 and 2, but I will have to go back and read them. A pretty quick paced magical romance tale with a HEA. I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.

This is a short read but very enjoyable. Sweet, fun and sensual, this book is well written and offers an entertaining plot. With added splashes of charm and magic the romance between Rose and Samson grabs and keeps your attention. A perfect read for romance fans.

Decadent Desires by Tawny Weber Karma Café #3 Looking for a magical fairytale spin-off romance? This might be just what you are looking for! Samson Phillips has agreed to help Rose MacBriar with the story for her new game. They meet at Karma Café where the three generations of Karmanski women assist the two in their pursuit of the story that will entirely change their lives. This was a fun easy quick read that had both characters getting what they needed and wanted AND it really made me want to know more about the Karmanski women and whether or not Anja will find her mate in a future book. Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review. 3-4 Stars
