Every time I get to choose, I make the wrong choice.

Every. Single. Time.

Everyone thinks I'm something special. A savior. A hero.

And I tried, I really did.

But, when the demon I'm hunting flays my soul, it turns out I'm none of those things.

My friends think they know what I need, but they don't know the real me.

The gates to the realms of rest are closed, leaving the dead with nowhere to go, and I revel in the chaos.
