This story started slow and in the beginning, I wasn't sure I would like it but as the story progressed, I found myself becoming invested in the characters and enjoying the story more and more. This is a sweet story, I liked the characters and they have a lot of chemistry. There are also some heavy issues in this book and we see how they deal with them. This story is told from alternating POV. Bryant Garrity is a quarterback with the Chicago Knights and he is rehabbing his knee while vacationing in the Caribbean. Carly Lincoln is a corporate travel agent working with a group of people in the Caribbean when her path crosses with Bryant. She doesn't know much about football and has no idea who Bryant is when she first meets him. Bryant is a nice guy. Even though he is a successful quarterback, he is sweet and vulnerable and I love the way he treats Carly. They start their relationship as friends and it slowly develops into more. Carly and Bryant are focused on their careers and have no interest in a relationship in fact, they believe it is impossible to focus on a relationship and also have a successful career. Even though they do not want a relationship because they are too busy with their careers, once they start dating they can't get enough of each other. I was given an advanced copy of this book to write an honest review for Netgalley and Cocktails and Books.

Received and ARC for honest review for netgalley. I enjoyed book, it had it all, it was sad, it showed you what true love was all about. The story was about Bryant and Carly, two individual who claimed they where not looking for relationships because they both where in a time in there lives they just wanted to focus on there careers. But life has a way to do as we expect them to, they fell in love, and they could not help it, unfortunately, there is curveball thrown at them, and it is horrible. I wont go into to not give spoilers, but it is heartbreaking, but they eventually work thru it and get there happily ever after and gives hope. I loved it.

- I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. - Before I start this review I want to mention I am a big fan of the authors previous books. This is a standalone book with no other series. But its the BEST book this author has ever written and probablly the best book I have read in years. I would not be surprised if this story ends up winning awards or the best sellers list because it really is extremely well written and really takes you on a journey. I laughed, I cried and I loved this story. Truly wonderful. Now I will try and review it without revealing spoilers.' This book starts out on a beach in the Carribean. Carly works as a travel agent and she actually takes groups on tours. She is on the beach with her group when she gets a call from her sister, Riley that she is getting married in a few months and wants her there to help with the wedding. Minutes after hanging up Carly and Bryant run into the ocean saving someone from drowning and thats how they meet. Bryant is a big football star who has suffered an injury and he is resting up in the Carribean. They both usually live in Chicago and so after going their seperate ways they see each other again in Chicago. Thats the best part of the book when they get to know each and fall in love. I absolutely loved Carly's family. The scenes they are in are so terrific and they are a big part of this story. If this was just a romance between a football star and the girl...it would have been a wonderful story but Carly and Bryant have a future that is uncertain and I cried like a baby while watching them try and face their future. This book was just so good. You will fall in love, laugh and cry with this book and what a great read it was. I definitely plan to re-read it, it was such a wonderful story.

Michelle has become one of my favorite authors recently. Her ability to write such great stories that have me really into the stories. Thinking what if this was me? What if this happened to me what would I do? In this book - I laughed, cried, loved - it took a turn I was not expecting for. Thank you Michelle for writing this book and sharing with us. It was easy to love Carly and Bryant; together and separately! Who wouldn't want to travel the world to resorts? But could you trust your significant other to have that job? Or what about an NFL star, where girls through themselves at the players. I enjoyed this book

This was a beautifully written story!!! I love Michelle Lynn's books and she doesn't disappoint with this one either. She always delivers and emotional beautiful read. Bryant is a cocky, self assured, and a sexy pro football star. Everyone always wants something from him. But when he meets Carly and she could care less who is or what he does he doesn't know what to think. Carly is sassy, self sufficient and loves her job. The last thing she is looking for is love and a cocky, sexy pro football star named Bryant Garrity. He swoops in and proves to her that she shouldn't assume anything. I loved everything about this book from the plot to the characters. The chemistry was very strong and the banter was fun and playful. It was a very emotional read and has twists you don't see coming. This is another must read by Michelle Lynn!! It is a standalone and told in the POV of both Bryant and Carly and is educational.
