So happy to get to see Evie and Sebastian again! I bought the book and finished it in one day because I couldnt put it down! The chemistry between Pandora and Gabriel was off the charts and had me laughing out loud many times. Not only does Pandora delight with her unique personality, she also brings up intriguing issues of womens rights during the time period. I would really recommend anyone to buy this book, you wont regret it!

Lisa Kleypas has been one of my favorite authors. From her strong heroines and interesting story lines to her delectable rakes with painful and intriguing histories, I have often loved her characters and the journeys of love and life they find themselves on. With this said, I do also have to state that this book was almost a disappointment. Gabriel, Lord St. Vincent was the usual witty, handsome, and strong hero that often graces Kleypas' pages. The kind of character you can love, enjoy and root for. However, the heroine left much to be desired. Pandora was extremely childlike, impulsive, and not very likeable. It was as if she were two different ideas of people merged into one that did not make very much sense. You want to like her and you want to root for her, but her very harsh personality and unyielding resolve make it difficult. It is almost as if her character wanted to make things more difficult and the childlike demeanor did not help. This was a difficult read for me and honestly if i could return it I would have. Gabriel's sense of humor, personality, and rationality is what kept this book remotely interesting and palatable. As for Pandora, she will go down on my list as one of the most undeserving heroines.

Its great to read this apple (Gabriel) didn't fall far from time tree (Sebastian). The Devil in Winter has always been one of my favorite books from Ms. Kleypas. I loved reading about Evie and Sebastian's son Gabriel and the perfectly imperfect Pandora. Im only sad because I've finished the book and must wait for the next story.

I don't understand some of the low ratings. This story was delightful from beginning to end.

Pandora's personality was an exact duplicate of me! I am 68 & I anticipate never growing up! Readers who have never lived in Pandora's shoes should not judge. My only wish is that there were more Pandora's in the world! The love between the two character's is what every couple should strive for... Inspiring, with twists and turns... you will love it! Well if you don't have an inner child in you, don't bother or on second thought let Pandora inspire you to get out of your ruthless & look forward to living happily ever after...

This one is definitely my favorite so far. The drama aspect of this story did nothing for me, I was neither here nor there with it. Their romance, chemistry, and the bantering... that's where it's at! Gabriel is perfect for her. He takes her quirks in stride. They have some of the best bantering sessions. They go back and forth. Neither one lets the other off easy, and they are hilarious. We also get some appearances from characters in the previous books in this series, so we can see how those couples are doing.

Wallflowers + Ravenels = winning formula. Pandora and Gabriel were two wonderful characters in their own right. Add Evie and St. Vincent as Gabe's parents, danger to our heroine, and a loyal foot dragon to make a book I've reread at least 5 times. Buy this book.

This was an enjoyable read but felt that the ending was rushed. I thought there would be more fact finding and follow through on what Pandora was involved in. Maybe more will be resolved in the next book as one of the main characters in the next book was in this one.

The main female character was just too naive for words.

I've been reading her books for a good while now and this is the first one I've read in the past few years that reminds me of the classic versions of her books now don't get me wrong I love her modern romances but the way she just seems to devote so much to her historical ones they just make it to where they're better to me at least. Story: the story is well-rounded there's never a point in which you like she added this in just so she can add pages everything that happened made you fall more in love with both characters and even the surrounding characters ones you met in previous books and wonder just really truly getting to know just a little bit better. Characters: Pandora is adorable in the best way possible she is crazy and walks the line of being almost too annoying but never really cross is it only on account of the fact of everything that she does you can go oh well yeah that makes sense she just seems like the kind of character we're like this girl is someone I could read about all the time.

Lady Pandora Ravenel is pretty and of marriageable age, but has no interest in tying the knot. Why would she want to hand over to a man the business she’s worked years to establish, along with her independence? But, because she was caught in a compromising position with Lord St. Vincent, she was expected to do just that. Gabriel Challon, Lord St. Vincent, has been an expert at avoiding marriage entrapment schemes until he came across Lady Pandora. She was in distress and Lord St. Vincent, couldn’t just leave her there. But, for or his act of kindness, he was going to be matched with the most unsuitable marriage partner possible. However, to his complete surprise, he found Lady Pandora’s spirited nature refreshing. Lord St. Vincent had never met another woman like her, probably because Lady Pandora was the complete opposite of the type of woman he should be marrying. But to his amazement, the more time he spent with her, the more besotted he became. Any woman would love to marry the devilishly handsome Lord, except, of course, Lady Pandora. But can Lady Pandora give up her independence to Gabriel, trust him with her business and still save her family from scandal? Devil In Spring is a well-written adult historical fiction romance, with witty dialogue, developed characters, and a captivating plot. A very enjoyable read.

What a great story if you love romance with spice and a little mystery you will love this book yes she's innocent but there's something refreshing about the way she acts I found it entertaining and I couldn't put the book down highly recommended.

I couldn't finish. Even with her upbringing, Pandora was too gauche & blunt, to the point of rudeness. Her twin, with the same upbringing, had no such problem. Too boring.

Loved this book, from the gorgeous cover to the satisfying ending. Gabriel, seemingly the perfect man (except for the darn mistress - hate that!) helps Pandora get out of a literal jam, as she is stuck in a couch in the summer house at a party they are both at. Passing by, as she gets out, are the host of the party and Westcliff (swoon!). Westcliff is willing to ignore the incident - he is good at that - remember the rounders game in Secrets of a Summer Night? :) However, the host is a little more stodgy & proper and insists that Pandora is compromised, and you know what that means! At first, he believes he is trapped, but then is intrigued when she is adamant against marriage. Gabriel's parents, Evie and Sebastian (swoon!) suggest that they both families go to the country for a week to see if Gabriel and Pandora can get to know and like each other well enough to make a decision about marriage. Sebastian already knows he wants her, but Pandora, although she wants him, is fighting marriage due to not wanting to lose her rights to being a business owner, which is already in the works. I love how relationship and situation are resolved. There is a some intrigue in the last part of the book, though. I am looking forward to the next book!
