About the Author

"Ilona Andrews" is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a better grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.) They have co-authored two New York Times and USA Today bestselling series—the urban fantasy of Kate Daniels and the romantic urban fantasy of The Edge—and are working on the next volumes for both. They live in Texas with their two children and many dogs and cats.

The behind the scene fun of the planning of Nevada and Connor's wedding. The fun of watching Catalina grow and use her power in new ways. The fun of a treasure hunt when the Rogan House Wedding Tiarra goes missing and must be found before the big day. Another great read from this husband and wife writing team. Just pure fun.?????

Side note to the anonymous 1 star review, they have awesome things called advance reader copies, which could account for some of the reviews. Or the book came out on the 6th, there could totally be 20 reviews for this highly anticipated book in a day. I read it in under two hours. So you’re 11/7 evidence is ridiculous. Ilona is not fantastic not fraudulent.

First off, to the person who is complaining about fraudulent reviews... this book was released on Nov 6th and this author has a very loyal following. It was a quick read, so I can assure you the reviews are real. Anywho, as with all Illona Andrews novels, the worlds they create are so incredibly unique and enjoyable. All the characters are (both good and bad) are just so much fun to read about. I'm so glad to know this series will be continuing with Catalina's story! This author is on my auto-buy list as soon as i see a preorder available!!!

The only problem this book had is being too short. Excellent character development, great plot. Like every good book, I didn't want it to end.

I stupidly missed both the fact that this was a novella and the narrator was not Nevada. Was disappointed and pushed through the first 20 pages begrudgingly. But by the end I was in love, as usual, and can't wait to read the next installment! Should've known better than to doubt my favorite authors!!

What wonderful writing, easy, direct, and builds well on existing characters. Great bridge to next group in the series. Bedazzling!

Always enjoy reading about imperfect women who learn to own their power, right wrongs, and find men who are not threatened by them. Even better when they are underdogs worth rooting for and possess a sense of humor. The youngest Baylor women, Catalina and Arabella, are growing up, and for the first time Catalina stops hiding from her hidden legacy. Her journey is just starting and this book is her beginning to come out her self imposed shell. Looking forward to the next installment.

Nevada and Connor is getting married and everyone is invited although they have strictly forbidden any summonings, weather manipulation or other magical activities. Catalina Baylor finds herself in charge of the wedding and in order to make it happen Catalina will have to do what she fears most…use her magic. This super exciting and thrilling story is full of wonderful, bold characters that charm the pants off readers with the good guys of course stealing the show although those bad guys sure know how to get everyone’s attention as well. The plot is fast paced and there is never a dull moment to be found as Catalina tries to ensure that Nevada has her fairy tale wedding. There are plenty of twists and intriguing events which keep readers holding on to the edge of their seat with anticipation and fascinating use of magic. Readers will be excited to find that the Hidden Legacy series continues to wow readers with wicked and witty fun that they have come to expect and they will definitely be coming back for more.

4.5 Stars I was late to the party on this series, but once I found it, it consumed me. It's one of those series that immediately after reading the first book, you run out, grab all of the rest and then read them back to back. After book three, I was worried that was it, that there wasn't going to be anymore. Thankfully this book arrived full of good news! It's a Baylor/Rogan wedding, the biggest Prime event of the year, but when it comes to Nevada and Connor, nothing is ever simple and easy. Bridezilla, aka Nevada, has run off the wedding planners with her changeable, demanding behavior and Mrs. Rogan's long-estranged family has arrived from Spain bringing family drama and resentment for good measure. With all of the shenanigans that are threating to derail what should be one of the happiest days in their lives, Catalina steps in determined to make sure her sister's happy day goes off without a hitch, even if she has to resort to using her powers to get it done. A little bit epilogue to Nevada and Connor's story and prequel to Catalina's upcoming trilogy, this novella is a fast-paced, madcap mystery that showcases Catalina coming into her own. Told mostly from Catalina's POV, we get peeks of a few of our favorite characters (Alessandro Sagredo!) while being introduced to a whole new side to Connor's family. (Admittedly, keeping track of the new family members was a challenge but, thankfully, there was a family tree for handy reference at the beginning of the book.) I adored Catalina. Reading from her POV set a new fresh tone and has me excited to see where she is headed next. If you haven't read the Hidden Legacy series, I highly recommend it and this novella!

Catalina Baylor has a very different voice than her sister Nevada. I like the contrast and am intrigued by the balance of insecurity and raw power. Looking forward to the next book.

For anyone who reads this authors work, this novella is a cruel tease. Of all the character development, world building, intriguing people. The powers they have, how they fit into action packed, character driven storylines that entertain & delight readers. Who seek a good read in a different world that NO ONE will ever say its like this or its like that ... Another excellent presentation by an author with their own voice. I've waited months for this and its just not enough MORE, Please And now I have to wait till 2019

I loved this novella! Absolutely loved it! It is hard not to gush over how much I loved this book so I am just going to go with it. I adore the Hidden Legacy series and have read the original three books two or three times each already so I was really excited to learn that the series would be continuing. I was really excited to see this world through Catalina's eyes and I was not disappointed. I had so much fun with this story. I love Nevada and Mad Rogan but I really like the rest of Nevada's family as well so I am more than okay with the torch being passed along to Catalina. I like Catalina even more after reading this story. I felt like I knew her before I got started with this novella but the amount of character development in this short piece was extraordinary. In this story, readers actually see more of Mad Rogan than Nevada which I think worked perfectly since it gave Catalina a chance to really stand on her own for the story. I also fell in love with Rogan's mom. She was amazing in this story and I hope we get to see a whole lot more of her in future books. There is a mystery that needs to be solved on top the upcoming wedding. There is a big group of Rogan's extended family in town for the wedding and causing a whole lot of trouble at the same time. This is not a very likable group overall and it was hard to trust most of them. It was a lot of fun to watch Catalina navigate such a complicated group of individuals and get to the bottom of it all. I would highly recommend this story to others. I think that it could work as a stand-alone but I think that it really works better when read in series order. This series is amazing and you don't want to miss any of the books anyway so I would suggest starting with Burn for Me. I can't wait to read more from this fantastic series! I received a digital review copy of this book from Avon Books via Edelweiss.

Diamond Fire by Ilona Andrews is a novella in their Hidden Legacy series. I am a big fan of our Ilona Andrews writing duo (Ilona and Gordon Andrews), and have loved every single book/series that they have written. Everything they write is absolutely amazing. I loved loved the Hidden Legacy series, and loved Nevada and Mad Rogan; praying that Andrews would be able to continue with this world and the wonderful characters we fell in love with. Needless to say, I am thrilled this series will continue, and soon we will start a trilogy focusing on Nevada’s younger sister, Catalina. In Diamond Fire, we get to spend more time with Catalina, as the story will be centered on her in the new trilogy. Nevada and Connor are getting married, and because Nevada keeps firing her wedding planners, Catalina and Arrabelle now have the burden of planning this wedding. While all this is going on, Conner’s mother has invited all their relatives to stay prior to the wedding. Shortly after their arrival, a precious family heirloom (diamond tiara), which Nevada is expected to wear (all past Rogan brides have worn the tiara), has been stolen, and Catalina is asked by Mrs. Rogan to find the Tiara and the culprit. I loved watching Catalina learn to use more of her powers, as well as controlling them. She is a prime, with siren like powers, making everyone love her, and now she is able to change things, and make them forget. It is a great way to learn the truths and secrets. Catalina is turning into a wonderful heroine, different but strong like Nevada. I can’t wait for her trilogy. What follows is finding the secrets hidden by the Rogan relatives, and Catalina with help from her family discovers many. When Catalina has to reveal the betrayals and secrets, everyone will be present. There is a slight cute surprise for part of the revelations, and Catalina was so good in revealing her findings. I loved Mrs. Rogan, who has her own powerful and dangerous powers, and I really look forward to her playing a bigger role with Catalina in the future books. Diamond Fire was a quick and fun read, and wonderful to spend time with all the characters we have come to love. Diamond Fire was a perfect way to bring Catalina to the forefront, and to give us all a wonderful glimpse at Nevada and Connor getting married. Hidden Legacy is a fantastic series, wonderful characters, and this novella gives us a taste at what we can look forward to in the future.
