I stalk, I pace, I wait. And then I am able to revisit Lonesome Point, Texas! I love this series created by Jessie Evans with a small town full of strong, handsome cowboys and quirky characters. People with hopes and dreams, with quirks and edges but at the heart of it always - love. And this addition to the series did not disappoint! Tulsi is raising Clementine alone, hiding the fact that her best friend's brother was her daughter's father. How this came to be is revealed through both Pike and Tulsi's point of view. They love each other - there really is no one else for either of them - but life is rarely that simple or straightforward. Pike is a talented baseball player who left his hometown years ago, who returned to celebrate his sister's wedding. Not realizing the secret she kept, he realized he never stopped loving Tulsi and was determined to have the life with her he had always dreamed of. Juggling problems with careers and family, their love may not be enough to overcome long-held secrets. An emotional climax brings it all to a head - would they get their happily ever after? All I could have hoped for and more! Now back to stalking - Reece's story is next!

A fantastic story about forgiving, forgetting and moving on, and how love can truly heal all kinds of hurt. What I loved about this story is that the agony and misery of the secrets revealed didn't last for long, that the characters realized love wins. Also, as soon as they saw each other again, they realized, the love from the past was still there, strong and alive. Another big plus in this story: as soon as Pike realized that, he humbled himself, set himself to be totally vulnerable, and told Tulsi about his feelings. Not pining after each other for a long time. Pike was an alpha male, with all that entails, but he was also caring, sweet and tender, considerate, and generous, just like Bubba and Sawyer, absolutely swoon worthy men. Tulsi was a great mother, 'the good girl', so sweet, but so tough. I adored Pike and Tulsi together - wow the heat was high! And with Clem they make such a lovely family. ~ Four Spoons

4.5 stars Another great addition to the series! I have been waiting for Tulsi & Pike's story, and it did not disappoint. Beautiful second chance love story that shows us the love can conquer all. Pike was absolutely wonderful, especially when he finds out about Clementine being his daughter. He did not react the way I expected - and that made me like him even more. It was great to see past characters an we even get to see Mia and Sawyer tie the knot. The next book in the series is about Tulsi's sister, Reece - can't wait!

4.5 star The story has laughs, secrets, suspense, and heartbreak. I was pulled right into this story. This is Tulsi and Pike’s story. Years ago Tulsi and Pike had an entire summer together but they broke up and have barely spoken for years. Not Pike is back in town for his sister wedding and is determined to win Tulsi back. Tulsi needs to stay away from Pike as she has a secret and if he ever found out he would hate her. The more he pushes the more she feels the guilt pressing in on her. When her daughter gets in an accident the secret will come out. Will Pike ever forgive her and does she deserve forgiveness? Can they move on from this secret? I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book.

I loved this story.  I enjoyed it from page one.  I think the writter did an excellent job in writting their love story from start tofinish and I can not wait to read the next book in this series, however, for the record each book so far is a stand alone book it's not a cliff hanger situation trying to force you to buy the next book. I would recommend this book.

Diamond and Dust was another amazing read and my favorite thus far in the Lonesome Point Series. Jessie Evans once again delivered an amazing book. I knew when I read the insert at the end of Saddle and Sin that I was hooked on Pike! WOW, a cowboy and professional baseball player, can't beat that. I have also had a soft spot for Tulsi, a single mom raising her rambunctious daughter with the help of her best friend Mia. Since she was child, Tulsi has had a crazy crush on her best friend Mia's brother, Pike. At 18, she finally reveals her feelings for him, Tulsi daring Pike to either leave her alone so she could forget him or kiss her. Pike kisses her and reveals that he too has been crushing on her. They spend the next few months together before he leaves for the minor leagues. Eventually they drift apart, both heart broken and do not speak or see each other until 7 years later when Pike returns to Lonesome Point for Mia's wedding. The moment Tulsi and Pike see each other, there is anger and hate, but also an undeniable hunger for one another. They both realize that they still love each other, Pike ready to do anything to win Tulsi back. Tulsi finally gives in but she fears that the secret she holds will tear them apart for good. I love second chance romances, and Diamond and Dust ranks as one of the top on my list.

Diamonds and Dust by Jessie Evans is the third book in her Lonesome Point, Texas series. This story is about Pike Sherman (Mia's brother) who has been away playing professional baseball and Tulsi, Mia's best friend. I'm so totally pleased with myself when I saw this storyline coming when Pike was mentioned in the last book and Tulsi's reaction was what it was. Oh the angst... Tulsi has been around for us since the beginning of the series. She's Mia's best friend. practically her sister they're so close. Mia was theone who helped Tulsi with Clementine when she was a baby. Late night feedings, colicy evenings filled with no sleep. Mia was there, helping. Tulsi is now struggling to keep her equine therapy business open and keep herself from falling apart when she learns that Pike, Mia's brother, will be back in town for Mia's wedding. Pike hates coming back to Lonesome Point. Not only does he have a very hard time dealing with his father but it's home to th ewoman that ripped his heart straight out of his chest seven years ago. Tulsi was the one and only for him until the day she told him she was pregnant with another man's child. Now that Pike's back, Tulsi is terrified he'll take one look at Clem and see who the father is. Once that happens she'll not only lose the last connection to Pike but she'll probably lose Mia too. Another beautiful romance with some steamy romance and angsty drama. Love this series. How had he survived for so long without her? She was the treasure he'd been hunting for, the precious thing he'd lost, and all the proof he needed to believe in miracles.~ Pike

Another 5++ star read -- Mia and Sawyer are getting married, which brings Pike home This is the third book in The Lonesome Point series, (all stand alones, with no cliffhangers). We know that Pike is Mia's brother and that after a conflict with their Dad, he has stayed away from home for many years, but that's about all we knew of him. Pike made it to the big leagues as a pitcher and took a broken heart with him. He is now suffering from an injury that has sidelined him from playing ball, so he is back in Lonesome Point to be part of his little sister's wedding week. We learn that Pike and Tulsi had a summer fling and she is the one that broke his heart. We met Tulsi in the first book, Leather and lace, when Mia took Tulsi under her wing from the first day of school and they have been best friends ever since. Mia even helped Tulsi raise her daughter, even though Tulsi would never reveal who the Father was. Once they lay eyes on each other, they both come to the conclusion that they are still in love with each other. Pike wants to put the past behind them and move on with a future together. Tulsi wants it as well, but she is deathly afraid of what will happen IF her secret ever comes out. Pike will hate her and so will Mia. Not knowing why she is so scared, Pike convinces her to leave the past alone and take a second chance on their love. We all knew that the truth would come out, it always does. But the way it comes out was heartbreaking. I won't spoil that part of the story, you will need to read it for yourself. It is soooo totally worth the time and energy. You will need to have some tissues ready when you get close to the end of the book, but take the ride and enjoy it. I am looking forward to reading the next story in this series. Jessie keeps writing amazing stories and we get to reap the rewards. ********** **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**

With Pike Sherman back in town for his sister Mia's wedding, it's all Tulsi Hearst can do to keep it together. Not only was Pike Tulsi's first and only love, she's hiding one heck of a big secret that Pike absolutely cannot find out. She'll just pretend like he didn't break her heart seven years ago, smile for the wedding pictures, and then life can go back to normal. The best laid plans, and all that... Pike is Lonesome Point's golden boy, the one that made it big. When he left home, he was sure that he'd never be back. But life has a funny way of throwing us for a loop, and it takes all of a day or two to completely change Pike's mind about things. Because in those couple of days, he sees Tulsi again, and realizes that it's not as easy as he'd thought to leave the past behind. Jessie Evans just keeps writing stories that I cannot help but fall absolutely in love with, and each one makes me say, 'Oh, this is the best one yet!' Her characters resonate because they are just so real, so like all of us. They're not perfect, they make mistakes, they're living normal lives as best they can. I think that one of my favorite things about reading DIAMONDS AND DUST, or any any book by Jessie, really, is that it feels like coming home. It is impossible to finish these books without a smile on my face, and to want to be part of a community like the one in Lonesome Point. Her heroes are always hot and sexy (and I think that Pike may well be my favorite so far!), which is really nice, but it's their hearts that make them so special. These are men that are willing to admit when they're wrong, to go after what they want, and to grab life by the horns and set things right. The women are written wonderfully as well; full of spunk and sass, these ladies don't take any guff from anybody. Every one of them, from Tulsi, Mia, and Marisol, right down to Clementine and Mia's Gram, are spitfires, and just make this a read that is immensely enjoyable. If you're a fan of books that bring old lovers together again, DIAMONDS AND DUST is a must-read, and is guaranteed to leave you wanting to read more by Jessie.

First off the hero is a cowboy baseball player you can't go wrong there. The book right off the bat has my attention. I LOVED this book so much that I read it in a day. I literally could not put it down I wanted to see where Tulsi and Pike's journey was going. The love those two have for each other is amazing! I loved Clementine. The personality that little girl has, loved we got to see so much of it in this one. I will warn you the water works were on in this one so have the tissues handy towards the end. To me if the tears start flowing you have a winner of a romance book. Give this series a try because you'll definitely want to read this one.

The men of Lonesome Point, Texas just keep getting better and better. Tulsi and Pike's story was absolutely fantastic. I cheered, i cringed, i laughed and i bawled (thanks for that :P )  Tulsi and Pike had a short whorl wind love affair when they were young that ended bad with a lot of Young adult misunderstandings and one BIG secret. while reading the book you can feel the train wreck that is going to out the secret, but it is a tear inducing surprise on how it comes out. Thanks for another great read Jessie. I'm impatiently awaiting Reece's story

I love the Lonesome Point Texas series and loved Leather and Lace and Saddles and Sin, but I do believe that Diamonds and Dust is my favorite so far. Jessie just keeps writing better and better books. She is extremely talented and has the ability to use the written word to evoke such deep emotions that it's almost painful sometimes. Tulsi has been in love with her best friend's brother, Pike, since she was a little girl. At 18, an opportunity presents itself in the form of Pike driving by her on the side of the road. She just can't keep her feelings to herself anymore, so she confesses to still having a crush on him and dares him to make a decision and kiss her or leave. He admits to having the same feelings for her and they spend a few months in each other's arms. Eventually it ends in heartbreak for them both and they don't see or hear from each other for 7 years. Once they come face to face again, there is anger, hurt and heat. Pike is still sexy and gorgeous and Tulsi can't stop thinking about him. Pike decides he still loves her and he wants her and he'll do whatever it takes to get her back. Can he convince her that their love is stronger than the past? Will she be able to tell him her secrets and believe that he will still love her? I laughed and cried and finished it in only a few hours! Diamonds and Dust is one of my favorite second chance romance stories and I'm a sucker for second chance love! "And maybe I'm not as sweet as everybody thinks I am." "Is that right?" he asked. "That's right. So as far as I'm concerned, you have two options." He nodded slowly, holding her gaze with an intensity that made her shiver, "I'm listening." "Either get out of my way and let me forget you, or shut up and kiss me." "I want to taste you so bad it's killing me. I want to see if you still taste like springtime." he said. "And I think the country songs are wrong. You don’t fall in love; you choose it." "I'm not going to eat supper with my family without underpants on, Pike Sherman. I have a wild streak, not a perverted one. And one for Clementine who's 6. "I promise to be good everyone will think I'm an angel come down from heaven." Clem said. "And it's church camp , so no taking the name of the Lord in vain, and no 'flipping'," Tulsi added with a hard look. "Everyone will know what you're meaning to say and they will be shocked."

Awesome read!! A very well crafted story that grabs you right from the start. You can't help but cheer as Tulsi and Pike confront their past. After falling in love as teenagers, the relationship fell apart. He went off to a big time baseball career and she went home licking her wounds and pregnant. You'll want to read this to find out what happens when Pike returns to Lonesome Point for his sister Mia's wedding! I highly recommend this one.

4.5 Stars! If you are looking for a well-written, second chance romance, then Diamonds and Dust by Jessie Evans is for you. I found all of the characters in this book to be likeable, kindhearted and real. This is a loving and interesting read that kept me engaged from beginning to end. Ms. Evans always creates great storylines and personalities, which will forever keep me coming back for more. Diamonds and Dust is the third book from her Lonesome Dove series, and not only is it a terrific addition to her book library, it can be read as a standalone. To begin with, the cover is hot and the combination of colors and fonts is quite alluring. Secondly, the two main characters Tulsi and Pike, are sexy, endearing and easy to identify with. Their second chance at love is fraught with passion, anger and a huge secret, but they are able to make a go of it because they love each other unconditionally. And lastly, the ending will make you smile from ear to ear. Every book I have read by Ms. Evans is enjoyable and entertaining. In a nutshell, if you have some free time and want to read a passionate, second chance romance with a bit of spice, look no further than Diamonds and Dust. Complimentary copy provided by the author.
