Many of the drawings found in this collection are sketches from Kafka's years as a student, each of which is accompanied by a specific fragment of text from the author. There are two different types of textual fragments: those which originally accompanied the drawings, and those selected from Kafka's complete works because they intensified the drawing and vice versa.
