Distant Rumbles

Distant Rumbles is a time-travel adventure set in the Reelfoot and New Madrid earthquake region of the central United States. The story takes a young graduate student (Braxton Dodds), who has just received his degree in geophysics, on a harrowing and adventurous trek in time. Jettisoning him into a time-period, where geology and earthquakes are more than likely the last thing on the minds of any of the folks dealing with the woes of post Civil War reconstruction in Missouri.
