DIVINE BEGINNINGS

Rediscover the origins of the Partholon stories in this prequel novella by #1 New York Times bestselling fantasy author P.C. Cast.

Something isn’t right at Guardian Castle, and Aine can’t figure out what. As Healer, she’s supposed to be making things better, but there’s a darkness that can’t be brightened. And then Aine finds an injured Fomorian—winged, dark, blood-thirsty and inherently evil. Or is he? Because there’s something about Tegan that Aine can’t resist...and once they’ve shared blood, Aine realizes that everything she’s always believed is going to be cast aside...

This book was really short. Also, the storyline contradicts at least one major aspect of the main Partholon series in terms of the origins of the vase. ***** SPOILER ALERT!!!***** If the two protagonists in this prequel were sent by Epona to bring the vase back to Oklahoma to await her Chosen, then why the heck did Bres need to pave the way for Rhiannon by bringing this vase into Oklahoma?? In short, this prequel was pretty unnecessary and did not fill in any blanks. It doesn't say anything about what happened as a result of the female protagonist's warning to Guardian Castle either at the end of the book.

I found this series by accident... I am in love with this story! I now own 17 P.C Cast/ Kristen Cast books. The Partholon series is amazing and I fell in love with Clanfintyn immeditaly! If you love this series you should read PC's Goddess Summoning Series.... Also a fantastic series!

Overall a nice prequel to the divine series, but word of warning well under 100 pages. Really wish she had expanded on the storyline a little more, there was definitely room to. Still was a good short read.

I absolutely adore this prequel. I would suggest, however, that it would be more appropriately read between the first 2 novels rsyher than first. I think you need the background to really understand it Stephanie Clanahan
