Overview

Do Not Read This Book by Winslow Swan

You Have Been Warned--but, if you are so inclined to read this collection of short stories, I urge you to, but remember, you have been warned. Within these pages you will meet a most peculiar old man running a gas station in the middle of nowhere, and what happens to the undesirables that encounter him. You will meet a rather good looking doctor with a most peculiar side line, and you will meet a teacher with years of experience who has a different style of teaching. Your storyteller also has his own story within this book, as well as you may find that you yourself will be wrapped up in this collection of horror tales. Again, I urge you, Do Not Read This Book.

About the Author

Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga, I grew up surrounded by mystery and suspense, in book form. I also grew up listening not only to the great old radio horror shows but also heard the original run of the CBS Radio Mystery Theater. I contribute them for my imagination of horror and suspense. My favorite authors at the time were of course Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Edgar Allen Poe. I now live in the North Georgia mountains along with my wife, two dogs, four chickens and one rooster. Writing can, at times, become arduous and trying to find the quiet time to actually get my thoughts and stories down can sometimes be quite straining. However, I continue to do what I can to trouble the dreams of the reader. I find myself to be one of the few who have fulfilled all of their dreams. I have worked in both radio and television, as an actor and a writer, and have also appeared on stage. I have made two films (which shall both never see the light of day) and am now concentrating on a writing as a career.

I can't believe no other reviewers have pointed out the RIDICULOUS amount of spelling and punctuation errors. So many that I was hoping it was intentional and some reason for it would be revealed by the end. I cannot possibly be the only reader to notice!

I really enjoyed this book-it reminded me somewhat of an old movie i saw once where it was 3 or 4 different stories but they were all related somehow. I recommend reading it in the daytime, it might give you nightmares otherwise!!!!!!

The first story in this book may be one of the best I've ever read. Rarely do I read a book that I have no idea how it will end until I reach the end.
