Having spent a few years on a safe island, Princess Silhouette goes back to the human world, after she learns about her late mother Queen Valeria's tiara being kept in a museum. Bringing her sand dollar steward Jarvis, Silhouette returns to her old home in Lavour, where the Lofts also have their eyes on the tiara. Consumed by their misery of now being homeless, which fuels their desire to be rich again, the Lofts have even left their adopted ten-year-old daughter Mary Beth to fend for herself in the cold, miserable town. Now, Silhouette feels torn between claiming her mother's tiara and caring for a child that was abandoned by the Lofts. But worst of all, Ivor the eel sorcerer is also on the hunt for the tiara, and plans to use the Lofts to his advantage. Can the Dolphin Princess save the crown AND Mary Beth, or will she lose BOTH to her dangerous enemy?
