A Breathtakingly Fresh Vampire Tale!  There's Not A Dull Moment In This Book!                                                           This was a breathtakingly fresh vampire tale! There's not a dull moment in this book! I absolutely loved it! What can happen when an incredibly sexy vampire meets a female computer nerd at a ski resort? Both are driven by family loyalties. Neither is looking for a relationship. This book has something for everyone: romance, steamy sex, humor, unique family dynamics and a hero and heroine who will each find their way into your heart.  I positively fell in love with Charles. He was a sinfully delicious loner. His task was to find who was threatening his brother's mate. When Rachel, a mousy techie, caught him feeding and attempted to blackmail him, he was intrigued by her. He told himself that it would be inconvenient and certainly detrimental to his plans if Rachel publicly accused him of being a vampire, so he agreed to her demands. She just wanted to protect her sister from a fiance who wasn't good for her. Neither was expecting their own heartstrings to be pulled and the sex to be so HOT! This book can easily be read as a stand-alone. I've not read the 1st book in the series and thoroughly enjoyed this read. I loved it so much that I'm planning to read the 1st in the series soon! Bottomline: The writing was polished. The world and characters the author created are incredible. The plot kept me riveted from beginning to end. If you are looking for a book with lots of laughs, smokin'-hot chemistry, and a happy ever after that will leave your face sore from smiling, rush to whatever bookstore you use and buy this book now!

Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book Reviews by Kim Last year, I was told I HAD to read Tiffany Allee’s Don’t Bite the Bridesmaid. I thought, “Okay. Fine.” I really liked the book and immediately started asking when the next book was coming out. Finally after months of waiting, Don’t Blackmail the Vampire is here. Part me of wants to say the books are standalones, but Don’t Blackmail the Vampire contains some spoilers. If you haven’t read Don’t Bite the Bridesmaid and plan to, I suggest you read it first. Charles Wright is the youngest of his “vampire father” Kane’s “sons”. His family pretty much views him as a playboy who doesn’t take anything seriously. Charles’ soon to be sister-in-law, Alice, is receiving threatening calls and emails, warning her to stay away from her vampire fiancé, Noah. Charles volunteers to go undercover to get evidence that Alice’s former fiancé Brent is behind the threats. What better way to prove to his brothers and father that he can be responsible? Charles is prepared to make nice to a man he despises. He just isn’t prepared for Rachel Davis to walk into his life and turn it on its axis. Rachel regrettably is on a ski trip with her sister, Kristen, Kristen’s fiancé, Brent, and one of Brent’s friends. Rachel is ready to use this trip to finally convince her sister that Brent is not good for her. The question is, how does she do it, since her past attempts have fallen on deaf ears. Rachel stumbles upon Charles getting nourishment from a human and decides to use the fact that he is a vampire to her advantage. Rachel is going to blackmail Charles to help her break up Kristen and Brent. What could possibly go wrong? Rachel and Charles fight an attraction neither saw coming. Because of Rachel’s past, she has trust issues and Charles is going to have to figure out how to get around the wall she has built up. Maybe just maybe with the two of them working together, they will both get what they have each come to Colorado looking for. Charles and Rachel are so much fun together. Their interactions will leave you laughing and hoping for them to get together. Be prepared for some hot steamy moments that even a hundred-year-old vampire has never encountered. Don’t Blackmail the Vampire does NOT disappoint. And yes, I have already asked about the next book in the series. Source: Pubisher

I read the first book and really enjoyed it. This one is even better! I enjoyed the story and the characters. Charles...I wish he was called Charlie, it would make him more approachable. Rachel, has a great heart, but dang is she stubborn. I did feel the need to reach through my NOOK and choke her. Anyway, the mystery is a good one too. I hope the author writes about Alex next. I would love to read his story!

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Chelle: I thought this was a fantastic read! I finished it in one long sitting, and was very happy I had sat down with it.  Witty, fast paced, intriguing, and with just enough romance... it was utterly and thoroughly enjoyable.  Don't Blackmail the Vampire is the 2nd book of the SONS OF KANE series, but can be read just fine on its own.  Our heroine, Rachel, is desperate to rescue her sister from marrying her good for nothing fiancé. When a ski trip with the not-so-happy couple, a friend of theirs, and the fiancé's soon-to-be boss gives opportunity for Rachel to work her magic and break up Brent and her sister, she jumps at the chance. In the most unusual way. She blackmails the 'soon-to-be boss' into helping her break the two of them up. The only problem: she can't keep her own heart safe from this captivating and thrilling man er... vampire. Don't Blackmail the Vampire had a fast paced and captivating plot with just enough complexity to keep just about any reader happy. It was very well written, and had characters that you couldn't help but love. I found myself falling deeper and deeper into the story and before I knew it, was turning the last page. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series. Highly recommended.

Don't Blackmail the Vampire, I found the interaction between the main characters quite amusing. I still feel the brothers story should have been first or if there is a book in the series regarding him that he should be introduced more into the books rather than just a mention. All in all not a bad book, would definetly recommend it for light reading.

Rachel can't stand her sister's fiance. She will do anything to get her sister to see he is a cheating do and she can do better. That includes blackmailing his potential boss Charles. Charles is a surprise to her in more ways than one. He is good looking, caring and a vampire. Charles has his own plans and that is to find out if that man is threatening his brothers fiance. He has to stay close to him and helping Rachel only helps him with his plan. Rachel isn't a flashy showy woman but being close to her brings him to see she is different from other women. They may start out using each other but when their time is up what will they do? Charles is very sexy and charming. He has a sense of humor and a normal person I believe he could talk into anything. He has strong family ties and would do anything for them. Rachel is afraid of commitment for her own reasons and in ways it has made her afraid to take chances. She is smart, seems clumsy and above all she loves her sister. She will do anything to protect her. She can also be sexy at times. I loved the first book in this series and enjoyed this one just as much. Charles hooked me in from the start. I have to say I would blackmail him as well. Rachel is also great as even when she should be scared she still stand up and blackmails Charles into helping her. They have so much chemistry between them. They have roles they need to play to get what they both want and at times it does things to hurt both of them. I got several laughs while reading this book. It is really very charming and I love the way the author writes. You can really connect with all the characters whether they are good guys or slimeballs you get some kind of feeling for them. Charles has to learn to really listen to his heart and go after what he wants. Rachel has to let go of her past and learn to trust. If you like a lighter vampire romance that isn't dark pick this one up. You don't have to read the first book as this can be read as a stand alone but I would still recommend you do as this is a great series. I can't wait for the next one.

Don't Blackmail the Vampire by Tiffany Allee is a fun light story about vampires. I know fun and light are not usually associated with vampire. However, it's not one of those stories that is dark. Come on the story takes place on a ski trip.  Honestly, I thought Don't Blackmail the Vampire was fun, because you have Rachel whose soul intent is to breakup her sister and her fiancé. However, she doesn't know how, but when she catches Charles feeding on a girl she figure she could blackmail him to help her. Come on who blackmails a vampire? I mean the guy could have killed her once she knew what he was, but he went along for the ride. Granted he had his own agenda, and he figure they could help one another out.  I adore Rachel, because she's describe as a subtle beauty that's a bit of a nerd. There's nothing wrong with being a nerd. I love Rachel's description of Charles: "He wasn't dark and scary and broody; he was sexy and funny and kind." See I'm not the only one with the idea that vampires are suppose to be dark and broody. Another description of Charles: "The vampire with a soul, with a heart, go figure. Charles might seem shallow to the casual observer--with his lighthearted attitude and playboy smile--but he wasn't. He had the ability to care deeply. Earnestly." Which is the whole reason he went to Colorado. Actually the two of them were adorable together, especially when they worked together.  Overall, I was entertained by Don't Blackmail the Vampire. I can't wait to meet the other brother, but I get the feeling he's not as fun as Charles and saying Noah is fun is pushing it a little. So, if you are looking for a caring vampire that cares deeply, Charles might be your vampire in Don't Blackmail the Vampire. *Side note: I would recommend reading Don't Bite the Bridesmaid first. Just a recommendation not a requirement. Favorite Quote: 'She sniffed, then leaning close with her hands on her hips, she sniffed him. "You smell like glitter." "Glitter doesn't have a scent -- not that your weak human nose can detect, anyway. And it wasn't that kind of place."'  Copy provided by the publisher

I was given a gift copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Charles is the “baby” vamp in his vamp family who is trying to prove himself to his brothers that he can be trusted. To do this he sets off on a mission to find out who is threatening his brother’s fiancé Alice. While on his mission he runs into Rachel. Rachel is on a mission of her own to save her sister from her scumbag fiancé before it is too late. Rachel catches Charles in a rather compromising position and decides to use this information to her advantage. So like any sane girl she decides to blackmail him into helping her with her mission. Thru out this story it is painfully obvious that they are starting to develop feelings for each other but for their own separate reasons each is reluctant to acknowledge these feelings. This is a wonderful story as much as I enjoyed Don’t Bite the Bridesmaid this book is epic in its own way.

Rachel's first impression of Charles is that he's a "hot, sexy, jerk" and he finds her "interesting" which for him is a compliment. Then she discovers he's a vampire and blackmails him to help her breakup her sister and her rotten fiancee, while he's trying to discover who's threatened he's brothers fiancee who's her sisters former BFF.. Rachel's afraid to trust her heart to anyone but she's falling fast and hard for Charles. He just wants to be trusted , and he's very attracted to Rachel. Their a cute couple, their dialogue is fast and fun...good read.

Don't blackmail the Vampire Tiffany Allee Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews I've read several of Tiffany’s books now, and always enjoy the light-hearted, fun stories she produces. Having read and liked Don't bit the Bridesmaid, I wanted to read this. Noah from the first book has two brothers, and its Charles who’s featured in this one, trying to find out who is threatening Noah’s wife. Rachel, such a great girl, she's worried about her sisters fiancé – he's a sleaze, but Kirsten can't seem to see it. She thinks she might be able to use the trip to somehow show her just what a jerk he is. So far though she hasn't any ideas how – then she meets Charles. He's feeding from a woman at the rear of the restaurant/bar area outside. He confidently tells her to ignore what she sees, and she promptly replies to him ...he's shocked, the Vampire mojo doesn't work on her, and it could be a real problem. He doesn't want her screaming “vampire, vampire” to everyone. They come to an agreement though, which leads to some very humour incidents. Charles isn't really afraid she'll blackmail him, but he is intrigued by her, and its not long before they find themselves getting closer, very much closer, in her bed closer! Rachel can't quite believe what she's doing, but Charles is hot, a great lover and she thinks why not have a holiday fling with him? He seems so normal she keeps forgetting he's not, that he's a vampire. Of course its never that simple, and when things come out, secrets and deceptions, set-ups and heartbreak, she feels lost. Its a great fun read, sexy and humorous, and a great addition to the first novel. There's another brother and of course Rachel's sister Kirsten so I'm hoping there’s more novels to come. If you want a fun read that isn't too deep and heavy this is perfect. Stars: Four, another winner from Tiffany. ARC supplied via publisher

Title: Don't Blackmail The Vampire - Sons Of Kane Author: Tiffany Allee Publisher: Entangled: Covet Publishing Published: 4-28-2014 ISBM: 9781622665624 E-Book ASIN: B00JI0KDXM Pages: 156 Genre: Romance Tags: Paranormal, Vampires, Intrigue, Series Sensual Level: Overall Rating: Very Good Reviewed For: NetGalley Reviewer: DelAnne Can you really Blackmail someone when they are willing and are planning on using you? That's the quandary of "Don't Blackmail the Vampire", The second in the Sons Of Kane Novel series. The first was "Don't Bite The Bridesmaid". There is a very slight problem with the references of previous events that are mentioned in "Don't Blackmail the Vampire". If possible I would recommend reading book one first. That having been said I myself will be looking to obtain a copy of "Don't Bite The Bridesmaid" to read just because this book was so interesting that I want to read more. Rachel Davis is desperate to get her sister away from her fiance, Brent (first introduced in Don't Bite The Bridesmaid", and the bad relationship they were in. Charles Wright is using Rachel as a cover to watch the man that is threatening his brother's fiance, Brent again, and get the evidence to trap him. Family loyalty is the motivation of the two main characters. Both are willing to do whatever is necessary to protect their families from the threat of Brett. Human or Vampire, there is no difference. Charles and Rachel are both strong independent personalities who are use to taking care of others. When threats to their family come to light neither is the type to step back and let someone else take care of the problem. They are so well suited to one another if they will only step back from their objectives to see it. If you are looking for a fast paced romance with a touch of suspense then you need to check out the works of Tiffany Allee's Son's Of Kane series. They are easy quick reads with plots that will hold your interest from the first line to the last. Pick up a copy and if you have not read Tiffany Allee before then you are in for a treat and you will have a new name added to your favorite author's list.

Don't Blackmail the Vampire is book two in the Son's of Kane series however you don't have to read the first one (although I urge you not to miss out on the awesomeness of Don't Bite the Bridesmaid) to understand what's going on. Rachel hates her sister's fiance Brent. He is an arrogant, cheating prig (who also happens to be the ex of the heroine from book one) and she wants nothing more than to break them up. Brent is trying to smooze the hero Charles for a high paying job that he thinks Charles may offer him. Little does he know, Charles has an another reason for going on the skiing trip and it has nothing to do with giving Brent a job. He's there trying to figure out who is sending his brother Noah's (from book one) fiance Alice threatening messages. And Brent just happens to be Charles's prime suspect. Rachel accidentally stumbles upon Charles feeding on another woman after dinner and decides to blackmail him into helping her break Kristen and Brent up. Charles agrees because not only does it go along with his plans but he's intrigued with Rachel. She's the first person that he's ever come across that can resist vampire mind control, well that and it doesn't hurt that he's attracted to her. As the two put their plans in motion they are forced to spend time with each as a couple. Charles and Rachel dance around their attraction with each other. Neither are looking for a relationship but the more time they spend together the harder it is to resist. Rachel has severe trust issues with men and is afraid to let anyone get close. Charles doesn't want to form any attachments, he has avoided letting anyone close to him with the exception of his brothers. I loved Charles! He was sweet, funny and sexy all rolled up into one delicious vampire. He was working so hard to prove to Noah that he could be relied on and so he tried to ignore his attraction to Rachel. But her pull was just too much for him. And when they finally gave in to each other.... WOW. It was amazing! Rachel got to me. She was a quiet, stubborn, nerdy type of girl (which I can relate to) but she has trust issues that you wouldn't believe. I could understand them on one hand but on the other hand I just wanted to knock some sense into her! I mean c'mon girl! Are you really going to let that smexy vampire slip through your fingers over some daddy issues??? And let me tell you I was worried there for awhile. This was a really fast read and had me experiencing a range of emotions. I found myself giggling, nervous, sniffling, frustrated and sighing happily. I couldn't believe that I finished it in one setting! So if you are looking for a light, sweet and sexy PNR then Don't Blackmail the Vampire is the book for you! *I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Good Book! Lucky me, I got the opportunity to read Don't Blackmail the Vampire by Tiffany Allee. This is the second book in her Sons of Kane series and it is just as good as the first. This is the second book I have read by Ms. Allee and it certainly won't be the last. This is the story about computer geek Rachel Davis and Charles Wright, a vampire with a conscious and a generous understanding of the human spirit. They come together accidentally, while on a ski trip and strike a deal. Rachel protects Charles's true identity, while Charles does his best to help prove that Rachel's sister's fiance, Brent, is a no good cheater. This arrangement works out well for Charles because it gives him the opportunity to also prove that Brent is harassing his soon to be sister-in-law, which is why he is on the ski trip in the first place. This is a cute, fast-paced love story. Rachel and Charles are good together and their witty banter is very entertaining. Ms. Allee writes with an enthusiasm that I enjoy immensely and look forward to reading time after time. Overall, a solid paranormal read with characters that go through some interesting escapades.

A boy vampire meets a girl computer geek at a Colorado ski resort!! Wow, I have always wanted to say that. Yes, this vampire can go in the sun and ski like a pro. Rachel Davis is a graphic designer and computer wonder girl. While growing up, her dad left her, her sister, Kristen and their mom and never returned. He did leave mistrust in his wake. Rachel trusts NO MAN. She goes to Colorado with her sister so she can break Kristen engagement to the cheating Brent Strub. Charles Wright has been a goodtime vampire for decades but he wants his blood brother's, Noah and Alex, and Noah's fiancée, Alice, to TRUST him. To prove it, he needs to go to Colorado to see if Alice's ex-boyfriend, Brent, is the one threatening her. Charles is "interviewing" Brent for a "fake" job so is invited to come along. Charles meets Rachel at the hotel bar and tries some pick up lines and she insulted him. Next they meet at dinner and they both feel the tug between them but resist it. After dinner Rachel goes outside for air and hears moaning. She peeks around a dumpster and see Charles fangs in the blonde's neck. She blackmails him to help her break up Brent and Kristen and she will not tell anyone that he is a vampire and he agrees. They work together to get Brent out of Kristen's life but they fall in love along the way. Can she ever trust a man? Will he hurt her to probe he is trust worthy to his brothers? Ms. Allie writes with humor and the story is an sweet and simple paranormal. I was disappointed that Rachel just accepted he was a vampire so easily. I would of totally screamed, ran and when caught ask some questions. Ms. Allie doesn't create her own vampire world in this book but it really works. I generally read historical romance but this was a nice change of genre for me and I would read another of Tiffany Allie book. I give Ms. Allee 3 fingers up and 5 toes. Reviewed from a NetGalley ARC.

I am a huge lover of anything PNR and have been a Tiffany Allee fan since I read her book Vampire Games. So of course I jumped at the chance to read this book even though I have not read the first book in this series, Don't Bite the Bridesmaid (yet). I did know enough about the first book that there were no issues with understanding the premise and characters in this book but I would suggest that someone who hasn't read the blurb (and any excerpts that were available) read and enjoy her first book before jumping into and enjoying this one. I think it would benefit the reader to have that knowledge of the characters in the first book that are referenced here and of course, the one who is being threatened. Everyone should be lucky enough to have family (or friends) like Charles and Rachel. These two are willing to set aside their own lives for a while to help out their family. Charles has had to befriend Brent and spend time with him - the man he suspects of threatening his brother's fiancee! And Rachel has agreed to try and be nice to Brent - the man who cheated with her sister (on his previous fiancee) and on her since then! This guy (Brent) is in serious trouble if he thinks he can get away with anything untoward since these two have teamed up to make sure he leaves their loved ones alone. I enjoyed the interaction and by-play between Charles and Rachel throughout the book. They are both strong-willed, opinionated people who don't like asking for help or admitting they may have been wrong about something. It is hilarious to watch as they work together to mess with Brent on this ill-fated skiing trip! Rachel discovers Charles is a vampire quite soon after she realizes he is the business contact Brent is meeting. Charles and Rachel actually meet before this while she is waiting for her sister and Brent to show up. The first contact between these two is hilarious and sets the tone for their relationship throughout most of the book, each giving as good as they get and enjoying every battle of wits. This was a really funny and interesting read. I can't wait to read another one! I received a Advanced e-copy of this book through the Entangled Review Program in exchange for an honest review.

If there is one thing I love, it’s a book with lots of snarky dialogue – and this book certainly had lots of it! From the first chapter right until the end of the book, I found myself chuckling out loud, never knowing what was going to come out of either Charles or Rachel’s mouth. “Did you just call me…pretty?” “You’re a male version of Helen of Troy. Now run along. Find another something pretty that appeals to you.” Underneath all that snarky banter though, was a love story that had me rooting for Charles and Rachel to find their happily ever after. I just loved watching Charles and Rachel fight their feelings for one another. Charles is trying to prove to his brothers that he can be trusted, and Rachel trying to get her sister to see that her fiancé is not the wonderful man she thinks she is, and when they decide to work together – well, when Rachel blackmails the vampire into helping – things get hot between the two. And when they decide to “pretend” to be in a relationship as part of their scheme to break up Rachel’s sister and her fiancé, you just knew that sparks were going to fly. Through it all, Rachel and Charles must both come to terms with issues from their past so they can move forward and learn to trust in love and in one another. “Sometimes the things we need most – they aren’t what we’re looking for. They’re the things we happen to run into.” This was a fun read and I like the twist on vampire lore that was in the book – I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with a skiing vampire before! I have not read the first book in this series but was able to jump right into this one without a problem since the backstory was explained enough to catch me up. This is my second book by this author and I’ll definitely be looking to read more from her! I received a copy of the book from the publisher for an honest review.

I am loving this series by Tiffany Allee. She makes us fall in love with her leading vampire men! You will fall in love with the characters and the story line until the very end!!! Rachel is shy, reserved and doesn't trust men. She thinks she doesn't have the looks to catch a man. When a man hits on her and she dismisses him things change for her and she does something she never does... blackmailing this sexy man!? Charles is on an important mission to help Alice and his brother Noah. He sees the interesting Rachel and she intrigues him, more than anyone has done in a long time. But he has a job to do, but gets blackmailed by Rachel.. I loved Charles! I think he's a great vampire! He's funny, humorous and a caring man. He definitely cares for his family and his brother and Alice. He will do anything to help protect his family, just like Rachel is doing.. which is why in a sense he is helping her. I loved how he got her, wanted to make her smile and all the little things he did! ... Oh and man is he SEXY! Rachel..  I sympathized with her and enjoyed having her blackmail Charles with his help. I enjoyed watching her care about him, despite all her man/relationship reservations. She's the perfect match for him.. if she could only see so. We do get to see Noah and Alice a bit in this book, which is wonderful. I loved them in book 1 and am glad we got to see them as well in this book....  oh and that end.... I loved it! It has me VERY eager for the next book! I can't wait!! <3 If you love suspense, SEXY vampires and family loyalty you will fall in love with this second installment of the SONS OF KANE SERIES by Tiffany Allee!! 5 vampire bites from me! * Recv'd a copy of this book in exchange by the publisher for an honest review.

Don't Blackmail the Vampire is a well written fast paced read.  There is mystery and mayhem and romance. Though not as laugh out loud funny as Don't Bite the Bridesmaid this may indeed be a better story.  This book can be read stand-alone but you will get more out of it if you’ve read Don't Bite the Bridesmaid first.  At first I didn’t think Rachel and Charles were a good fit together but they convinced me by the end.   Complimentary copy provided by author/publisher for an honest review.
