Fun, easy, and truly innovative. It's been a while since I have seen an art techniques book that had truly new and unique ideas. While the paint is drying on my transfer paper (one of the new techniques I love!) I am taking this moment to say how much I recommend this book for anyone from "shows a hint of creativity with no drawing experience" all the way up thru "seasoned artist". Don't forget yourself on the list! It's been a long time since I have felt the kind of creativity and fun I did as a child. I 've already done pages and pages of imaginary animals that I am tickled with, and can hardly wait to try more of the techniques shown. If you ever saw faces or animals in the clouds, or doodled on your notepad, you will love this book! I firmly believe we all need to take a little time now and then to engage the part of our minds that the activities in this book does, and give the highly pressured "thinking" brain cells a break. It is more refreshing than a nap! To that end, I have even shown my pictures to friends and given them pages with prepainted blobs for them to try. I can't wait to see what they come up with!
