"Driven to Temptation" by Melia Alexander will get your attention right from the start to the end. So, get comfy and tag along with Aidan Ross and Delaney Harper on their road trip. It is humorous and sexy with heartfelt moments. Delaney is an engineer and comes from a family of all male engineers. She wants to prove to her family that she is just as good engineer if not better than any male engineer. Aidan is an amazing engineer and has started his own company. He struggles in the people skills area of the business. Harold White is second in command of his company and a trusted friend that handles the people part. There is an important trade show coming up that could make be a profitable turning point in Aidan's business. Aidan feels good about it because Harold White is going with him. Well, that was the plan. Aidan goes to pick up Harold and instead he finds that Delaney is going instead. Things get really interesting on this six-hour trip. The author has a way of writing that sucks the reader in where you feel like you are on this road trip too. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm looking forward to reading other books by Melia Alexander.

Such a fun yet sweet story with some sizzle thrown in. Aidan was known as the Ice King. But through the story, Melia wrote his transformation and made him real, likeable, and showed his true inner self. Delaney brought that out in him and accepted him as he is. Delaney was a strong woman, determined to be a success on her own and then turn around to support other women. She was a great character to read. I loved her independence, her drive and her fierceness. She went after what she wanted, Aidan included. The two of them together made a great team. The last two chapters really cemented my liking of this book when it showed the acceptance of their true selves and knowing they needed the other in their lives. Beautiful ending. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

What a sweet and simmering hot summer read What a sweet, romantic story about a woman named Delaney Harper who feels she has a lot to prove to everyone.--Her father, grandfather , her older brothers, her male co workers..pretty much everyone else and its becoming very tiresome . She is very successful in her chosen field but she feels she has more to prove and this is the time. Her boss has food poisoning so she has the perfect opening to step in and give the presentation at a highly prestigious and important trade show—if only she could get the CEO to believe in her, the CEO she has never met before. The CEO is Aidan Ross and he is a tech genesis but when it comes to people, not so much. Delaney isn’t going to let this waylay her and she burst into this CEO’s life and brings life and zest which would be dull and grey. The chemistry between them is electric and is more than just boss/employee. It is combustible and their interactions make this story especially sweet and enjoyable. We find out what makes these two characters tick and the past that pushes Delaney to go for gold and keep proving her merits when she already has. The past is stopping her future, will Aidan stay and prove his love or will this lady realize what a catch that slips past her? The twists and turns were known since this is a romance story but I enjoyed the plot twists that came my way in this story. The ending was perfect and I cannot wait to read another simmering read like this one. My rating: 4.0 stars *** **I was given an ARC by the publisher in exchange for an honest review***

Delaney Harper has a lot to prove – or so she thinks! All her elder brothers, her father and grandfather are engineers and so is she. She has been successful in her job but still feels the need to prove herself, especially to her parents, who she believes just want her to follow the lead of her mother and female relatives by getting married, having children and being a housewife, not a career woman and certainly not an engineer! Now, however, she has the opportunity she’d been dreaming of. Her boss has food poisoning and she’s managed to arrange things so she’ll be the one giving the presentation at a highly prestigious and important trade show . . . if only she can convince the CEO of the firm who she’d never met before. The CEO is Aidan Ross and he’s definitely an engineering genius but comparatively useless at interactions with people. Delaney proves to be a feisty, very independent, bubbly and determined young lady, obviously a talented engineer and skilled software developer but also a huge temptation! As the attraction between the two heats up, the journey to the venue is just going to be so much harder for the Ice Man to cope! This has a predictable outcome but the journey there explores the impact of tragic loss and insecure teen years as well as living up to the expectations you believe others have of you. It is a battle of the sexes with him trying to be the gentleman whilst she strives to be treated as an equal. The characters are complex, the plot has enough twists to keep the reader engaged and the writing style takes you in to enjoy escaping into the story. Definitely an enjoyable story for anyone who enjoys the heroine to be the antithesis of a needy, snivelling, desperate to be married female whilst the male is a gentleman, strong, successful but with flaws… Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read this in exchange for my honest review.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review "Driven to Temptation" by Melia Alexander is the story of Aidan Ross and Delaney Harper. Aidan is an engineering genius but is not a people person. So much so his wife left him. Now he finds instead of picking up Harold he is taking Delaney to Seattle. Aiden doesn't want to take her at first but he knows he won't be able to be the 'Front Guy' to do the talking/ chatting and such to keep the potential clients. Delaney is smart and she knows her stuff. But they are complete opposites it would seem. Great story. Ms Alexander keeps you from putting this book down.

My Review: This is my first read by this author and it definitely won't be my last. This was a great, fun, entertaining book that had a bit of a sexy geek feel to it that I loved. It's about two engineers...who both have their hang-ups. For Aidan, he was thrown into the foster system after his parents suddenly died. It had a profound traumatic effect on him. He's closed down and closed off, socially awkward and has on almost OCD need for control of his surroundings and life. He owns this engineering company and is on his way to a trade show with his second in command...the personality of the company. Instead he ends up on the road trip with Delaney. Delaney is also an engineer, but being raised in a family of engineers and a family of men, she's always had to work harder to prove that she is just as good at her job, if not better, than any of them. She's vibrant, full of life, and exuberant about her passion for her job. But being raised the way she has been, she has a bit of a hang-up about being female. She wears shapeless suits and balks at anything that might hint at her being weak or feminine. The two definitely don't mesh at the beginning. Aiden needs control and Delaney challenges that at every turn. She should have a say in everything they do, too, even if she's not the one driving or in control of the company. I enjoyed the book. It was really entertaining. I loved the geek aspect of it and I adored how amazingly brilliant Delaney is at her job. Every time she wow'ed someone I cheered her on. I also really liked the two of them together, although it takes them a bit to get on the same wavelength about where they're headed. They both have their reasons for keeping their distance that are very good ones. It's a fast moving book and relationship, but overall, it really worked for me. I also really loved the resolution and ending...really perfect for everyone involved. I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Delaney has been working very hard to prove to everyone, from her family full of engineers to her bosses, that she is just as skilled and capable as any male engineer. She finally gets a chance to showcase her unbelievable talent when she goes to a trade show with her elusive boss, Aidan Ross. Aidan is not a people person and typically leaves the social aspect of owning a business to his number two. He plans for every second and every potential obstacle but Delaney came out of nowhere and Aidan has no idea how to handle her. This was a sweet, quick read. Delaney is hilarious and I found myself laughing out loud at her antics on more than one occasion. The chemistry between these two characters was easily felt throughout the entire story. I'm really hoping that some of the other characters that were introduced in this book get stories of their own! *I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.*Delaney has been working very hard to prove to everyone, from her family full of engineers to her bosses, that she is just as skilled and capable as any male engineer. I loved it! It's absolutely amazing, just sucked me in right from the beginning and I couldn't put it down. It's most definitely a must read for romance lovers. Delaney is determined to prove herself in a men's world. She is brilliant and nothing can stop her from getting what she wants. She has worked hard, and now it's time for her to take her career to the next level. Aiden is the key for that. He owns the company she works for and if she wants to become a partner then she needs to wow him. Which won't be difficult because her work speaks for itself. Aiden is definitely impressed by her work ethics and proud of her. But the more time they spent together the more he realises that it's not a work relationship he wants, he wants her. Things get more and more complicated when they are both "Driven to Temptation". Now more than his firm's future is at stake... A beautifully written book, with awesome characters. On one side there is Delaney who is confident about her talent and knows exactly what she wants. Also she isn't afraid of speaking her mind. On the other hand there is Aiden socially awkward, and used to keeping his emotions bottled up. When these two opposite personalities collide we've perfect chemistry, and heart-warming romance in the making. I enjoyed reading this book a lot and recommend it to all readers.
