In Shepherd's Bay, Louisiana, there's more to life than going to the hottest parties and getting crowned Homecoming queen. Or at least there is for sixteen-year-old Claire St. Romain. By day, Claire's the popular It Girl at her Louisiana high school, but by night, she's a fearless vampire hunter who stalks creepy cemeteries and dark swampy woods hunting the things that most people think are only fairytales. But Claire's life is no fairytale and she's about to face a harsh reality all too soon.
