A documentary following the found-footage style of narrative presentation, this film is primarily a video journal of Shannon Hoon, vocalist of the '90s band Blind Melon. Scenes present Hoon as he filmed himself doing mundane things in his personal life or getting involved in activities with his famous band, such as jamming rehearsals and shooting the music video for their big hit, "No Rain."
