"Originally released in France as 37.2 Le Matin, Betty Blue is another effort from Diva director Jean-Jacques Beineix. Adapted from a novel by Philippe Djiain, the film stars Beatrice Dalle as Betty, the object of lust for itinerant handyman Jean-Hughes Anglade. After a night of unbridled passion with Betty, Anglade discovers that he literally cannot stay away from the woman: Betty is obsessed with Anglade -- and it is an obsession that is just a shade or so away from insanity, a fact that leads to a shocking denouement. A huge moneymaker, Betty Blue won the French Cesar Award for ""best poster design"", and was nominated in seven other categories."
