Bob: The Complete Series [4 Discs]

There was `The Bob Newhart Show,' then `Newhart.' This harder-edged sitcom was simply `Bob,' and in it, he was a cartoonist who didn't see eye to eye with his editor over the direction his comic book, Mad Dog, should take. There was, of course, some of the trademark Newhart wackiness (and `Newhart' stalwart Tom Poston was a semiregular, along with Lisa Kudrow and Dick Martin), but the third show wasn't the charm: it needed an overhaul after its first season and died early in its second.
