Broadway Danny Rose

Woody Allen's bittersweet showbiz comedy arrives on DVD in a lean but attractive presentation. The film has been given a sharp letterboxed transfer in its original 1.85:1 aspect ratio, and is also enhanced for widescreen monitors. The audio is presented in its original mono mix in Dolby Digital, with an optional French language track. The film is closed captioned in English, and features subtitles in English, Spanish, and French. The film's original theatrical trailer is also included.

What a laugh riot !! The story begins in the Carnegie Deli in New York City. Several well known comedians are sharing a meal and their favorite Danny Rose story. Danny Rose is a theatrical agent with the worst acts. He has one successful client, Lou who had a regional hit record called Agita. The story centers around Danny Rose played by Woody Allen and Mia Farrow as Lou's mistress. Lou has an opportunity to be booked as part of a nostalgia tour. Lou has to perform for some talent scouts . He asks Danny to bring his mistress to the show. He asks Danny to pretend to be the mistress' be the beard. And so the comedy begins..
Next to Annie Hall and The Purple Rose of Cairo and Sleeper, this movie is my favorite Woody Allen movie.
