The younger brother, Arnold, was an immediate hit, and the precocious lad's frequent query of his sedate, older brother---'Whatchutalkinbout, Willis?'---entered the pop-culture lexicon. The sitcom, on the air for eight years, spun off 'The Facts of Life.'
