Summertime [Blu-ray]

Director Carlos López Estrada's dramedy was inspired by a spoken-word showcase with 25 high school poets. It follows the intersecting lives of 25 young Angelinos as they go about Los Angeles on a single hot summer day. A fast-food worker, a roller skating guitarist, two aspiring rappers, a limo driver, and a queer bus passenger turn to creative self-expression to give voice to their hopes, traumas, joys, and agonies. ~ Augustine Chay
