Ekrem Yalcindag: Seeing the World Anew

Intricate and scintillating compositions, created from hundreds of small shapes, combine ornamental tradition with geometric abstraction

Using an impasto technique applied with diminutive brushstrokes, Turkish artist Ekrem Yalcindag (born 1964) creates brightly colored, relief-like paintings patterned with leaves and flowers. This publication presents three new series of works: the monochrome Tondi, the Infinity Paintings and the large-format series Natures.
