Since as long as we can remember, humanity has attempted to transcend everyday reality, to evade the natural world, and find a supernatural “second reality.” Both everyday reality and this second reality are illusions generated by distinct regions of the brain, and both types of conscience coexist in contemporary humans. From a neurobiological perspective, both are equally real, as both are products of cerebral activity.
