El Cerro de San Cristobal, Logrosan, Extremadura, Spain: The Archaeometallurgical Excavation of a Late Bronze Age Tin-Mining and Metalworking Site: First Excavation Season 1998

A report on the first season of excavations at the site of Cerro de San Cristobal in the region of Extremadura. An archaeometallurgical survey and subsequent excavation revealed evidence of habitation, mineral extraction and production activities at the site in the Late Bronze Age. This report describes the site's location, the methodology of the investigation, the stratigraphy of the various trenches and the finds, including hammers and crushers and crucibles.
