After the closure of the Simpson Shipyards, Uncle Ernie loses his job, but quickly comes up with an idea to continue to earn money: he turns his house into a fish canning factory. He starts welding, bending, filing, and sealing cans. Ernie’s nephew, Stan, does not like anything about this new stressful life and decides to escape with the traveling carnival that began in the village, a trip that will change his life.
