Engaged by Friday by Julie Jarnagin Mary Beth Hollands was all ready to face her high school nemesis at their ten year reunion—that is until her boyfriend left town...and her...beforehand. Her friends had found their forever guys on the internet dating and now they are going to find her one. Christian Fuller just wants to start his own business with no more interference. Quitting his engineering job found him without a girlfriend or his family's understanding. Now his sister has stepped in his life to interfere again. She set him up on a date from a profile she created for him. No way.

This is the first book by Julie Jarnagin I have read - and what can I say? It is sweet, adorable, and quite honestly amazing. Makes you wish life was that simple. A good escape from reality. Definitely going to be reading more from her.

Mary Beth expected a proposal, but got a break-up instead. Her high school reunion is days away. She wasn’t supposed to go alone. In fact, winning a bet from high school depends on it. The only chance she has is to find a fake date through an online dating site. Christian is busy trying to make a success of his start-up camping equipment company. He doesn’t have time to date. So, his sister decides to help by signing him up for an online dating site. When she arranges a date, he’s too polite to simply not show up. I really enjoyed this novella! Mary Beth was so sweet. I felt for her at the beginning. She was the friend that had life figured out and was ready for the reunion. That changed in a moment. Christian was a great guy! I loved the way he followed his dream and worked hard to make it a success. It was fun to watch them try to pull-off a fake engagement, especially in front of his nosy mother. And I loved the ending! This is another great story by Julie Jarnagin! It’s filled with some good life lessons, too. I received a complimentary copy of the book. These are my honest opinions.

Mary Beth is in a bind. Her ten year high school reunion is two weeks away and her boyfriend just called it quits. Not only is she depressed at the rejection, she's facing certain humiliation at the hands of her old nemesis over a silly bet they made years ago. So, when her best friend suggests seeking help via an online dating service, she reluctantly agrees. However, she had no idea that an online service could introduce her to such an amazing man. If only he was for real . . . Christian Fuller just wants to focus on his new business and prove to everyone that he's not a failure. However, when his sister sets him up for a date through an online service, he doesn't have the heart to leave her wondering what happened. However, when he shows up to tell her it's all a mistake, why are his emotions showing an interest in her? What follows is a really cute, light hearted story about two people realizing that what started out as pretend doesn't have to remain pretend. My conclusion is that if the author can do this well with a short story of only about 70 pages, I can't wait to read what she can do in a longer, full length novel. Romance - Clean - a couple of kisses is all Language - Clean My rating - 5 stars.

I very much enjoyed this fun novella about two souls who didn't think they had the time to date but somehow get involved anyway! Christian's sister signs him up on an online dating site and he's not happy about it. He has just quit his job as an engineer and is involved getting his own camping business started. Mary Beth's boyfriend has dumped her. She's on the high school reunion committee and doesn't want to show up without a date so agrees to try online dating by the other committee members' request. Mary Beth and Christian meet and decide they can each "get something out of the deal".....Mary Beth needs a date to the reunion and Christian needs an introduction to Mary Beth's uncle who owns a camping store. However, Mary Beth has a dramatic request....will he become her fiancé? Maybe this make-believe will turn into something more...... I recommend this novella, which includes other fun stories! It's truly an enjoyable read!

Engaged by Friday is a sweet, light-hearted romance and I really enjoyed it! Mary Beth's 10 year high school reunion is quickly approaching, and she's dreading it since she just broke up with her boyfriend. Three of her friends make a deal with her, and she promises to try online dating. Christian has come out of a long term relationship and has decided to focus on his new business. Mary Beth and Christian soon strike up a deal that benefits them both; a date to the reunion for her, and a promising business connection for him. In just a short amount of time, sparks begin to fly, and they both realize they've each gotten more than they bargained for. I loved this quick read, as well as the other novellas in the Matched Online anthology. I received a copy of this book from the author, in exchange for an honest review.

I like all I have read by this author and this is no exception. I would have preferred a full length vs novella, which is actually the sign of a great read when you crave more. Sweet, clean romance with a sub message of living life beyond expectations.

I loved this story right from the get-go. I met my husband online so I could see where they were coming from. Julie is a whizz with the pen, she made me laugh, made me cringe and even angry. How I didn't like Christian's Mom to start off but I changed my mind after a while. At the end of the day she just loved her children and wanted the best for them. It's a lovely story that has you racing to the end to see how it ends. Love is a powerful emotion and it oozes out of every page . Enjoy, I did.

Mary Beth and Christian both have reasons for their previous broken relationships. Everyone around them is trying to get them to move on and date someone new. A bet from years ago causes Mary Beth to ask new "friend" Christian to help her by accompanying her to a reunion. Soon sparks fly between the two and what started as a way to help each other evolves into true romance. A sweet story. The author has a way of making the reader feel the emotions of the characters. I received a copy of the story from the author and this is my personal opinion.
