ERG2012: Quick Lookup
This ebook takes the data released by the Department of Transportation (and which is published in the physical Emergency Response Guidebook) and presents it in a practical digital form that is searchable and hyperlinked for quick access to the information. The color-coding and feel of the ERG are preserved to make this ebook familiar and easy to use.
As a Nook book, this version is accessible not only on Nook eReaders, but on many devices -- computers, tablets, and smartphones -- via the Nook app (available for free download from iTunes, Google Play, etc).
This edition is up-to-date. It is based upon the ERG 2012. It includes all the corrections that have been posted by the DOT through June 1, 2013, which are not found in physical copies or most digital reference materials. It is not only the most convenient available version, but the most accurate.
While the emergency response data is made available for free by the DOT via .pdf and the limited-run ERG, what we are offering is a speedy and easy platform for accessing that data, which we have built ourselves and which is unique to this edition.
Note: The color-coding requires a color screen; e-ink devices (with a b&w screen) may not give you the best experience of this edition, but it will work.
ERG 2012: Quick Lookup expands upon our popular Android app, DOT Placards, which has been downloaded over by 28,000 users.
Revision History:
- Version 1.0 -- Initial release of Kindle version
- Version 1.1 -- Added missing sections: Intro to Green Tables and the How To section for each table
- Version 1.2 -- Incorporated DOT and other corrections
- Version 2.0 -- Made many formatting improvements, including the consolidation of the unnumbered placards pages into one section, making it more intuitive and more similar to the physical ERG.
- Version 2.1 -- Initial release of the epub (Nook) version. Corrected the windspeed labels in Table 3.
- Version 2.2 -- Reformatted Table 3 to make it more usable in the field.
