About the Author

Ralph S. Watts, a former church administrator at both the General Conference and union levels, was president of Adventist Development and Relief Agency International (ADRA) for 16 years, from 1985-2002. Under his leadership, ADRA became a household name—developing into an agency active in more that 125 countries that now provides development programs and disaster relief aid to more than 19 million people annually. Ralph and his wife, Pat, currently live in Loma Linda, California.
