I totally loved how Jay weaved her other series into this novel and how fitting it truly was! I also loved the raw honesty that Lane and Brynn had to expose to one another and that they had the courage to do just that! Great book! And just to say, I really do hope for Ten and Webb's book!

This time the story is about Lane, the youngest Warner brother. He has always been in love with Brynn. But her circumstances have never been easy. She wanted to leave behind her life in the reservation. Her mother was really nasty. So she accepted Lane's marriage proposal. Obviously, that made Lane and Brynn drift apart. When he is about to lose her again, he just escapes. But this time, Brynn is determined to bring him back home. This is their journey together. I liked the story. Honestly, I was looking forward to reading this book. But there was a moment when their love story was lost among everything that was happening. And that's when I was a little bit disappointed. For me, this was not the best Jay Crownover's series. But still, as usual, they are worth it.

One of my most anticipated books of the year! Since reading the past books I always found myself drawn to Lane and Brynn and wanting to now more about their story. This book had not only romance but also action, mystery and a lot of family love. I truly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from characters in this world.

Jay Crownover always keeps me on my toes. I fell in love with her cowboys in Retreat. Escape is a perfect ending. Glad Lane finally got his happily ever after. Jay has a way of making you fall in love with every single character and making you want to hear their stories. This book is no different!!

By now, I know that Jay Crownover knows how to write an emotional, romantic read full of suspense and heartbreak and tears and laughter and swooning. I know to expect a lot of feelings every time I open a book by her. I know to expect characters that stick with you after you finish, and I know to expect to be wowed. That being said, nothing in the world could prepare me for the emotional ride that was Escape. I absolutely love Lane and Brynn. Brynn is caring and selfless and has such a big heart that it’s impossible to not love her. And Lane is protective and sweet and has just as big a heart as Brynn does. I’ve wanted their story since I read Retreat. I fell in love with Lane’s optimism and happiness in the first book, but I fell even more in love with the more serious side of him we meet in this book. And the way Brynn so fully and without restraint put her heart and soul into helping someone in need totally warmed my heart. The romance was so cute. I loved learning more about their history, and, even more importantly, their present and future. There’s obvious tension between the two of them, definitely, but it was so much more than that. Since they were best friends when they were younger, they know each other better than most people, and they care so deeply about one another that it pulled at my heartstrings. It’s impossible to not wish the two of them finally gets their happy ever after, because after everything they’ve been through, they deserve it so, so much. Add in the suspense elements in the plot, and Escape is an absolutely irresistible read. If the romance didn’t keep my heart racing and me holding my breath, then the plot did, because I seriously needed everything to be okay for everyone, not only Lane and Brynn. If you want to know who else, you’ll have to read the book *wink wink*. It’s just the perfect pace and the perfect everything to keep the reader hooked to the page. Escape was such a beautiful, heart-breaking, and emotional book. It has just the right amount of sweet romance and heart-stopping suspense, and by the end of it, you will be wishing for your very own cowboy.

Escape was different than I thought it was going to be, but still very enjoyable, and I think it's my favorite of the series. I loved Lane and Brynn, they are both very caring and have big hearts. They're also super strong and determined. They're meant to be together and I'm so happy that they finally got their heads on straight and thinking the right way. I loved reading about them, they're adorable! The storyline was the part that was different than I expected. I still really liked it and enjoyed all the action happening around them, it just wasn't how I thought the book was going to go. I really liked the new characters/the ones we got to know more about. They're all very interesting and I hope that we get more of them in the future, especially with the way Escape ended! I definitely want to know how that is going to play out! And of course the character from a certain wonderful world that popped in made me smile! I liked how it was like all of Jay's series together for a little bit, it made me happy =)

I know I’ve said this countless times before, but I’ll go right ahead and say it again—this is THE BEST series Jay Crownover has ever written. Ever. And knowing how much I love and adore all the books she already wrote, that’s truly saying something. But these brothers... they’re just absolutely EVERYTHING. I want to be a Warner; I want to be a part of their family. My heart is still pounding wildly in my chest. My emotions and all my insides are still in shambles from so much love for Lane and Brynn and everything they showed me here. These two are some of the most kindhearted, loving and honorable characters I’ve read about. I don’t think I’ll ever stop smiling every time I think about them and their story. Every book, every character, even down to the smallest moment in this series gets better, more intense and more heart-ripping than ever. All the feels and emotions are just flying off the pages from this one. This author’s words? They’ll squeeze and grip your heart, and pierce straight right through your soul. She’ll torture and make you drown in agony and pain, but the light at the end of the tunnel for all the Warner boys—they’re every bit worth the hair-raising, nail-biting and heart-shattering suffering you’ll experience throughout the entire ride. Lane Warner will make you weak in the knees and madly in love with him. He’ll prove to you multiple times why he deserves to be in the spotlight just like his brothers. That he’s special and lovable just the way he is. His hero complex and huge heart made me want to smother him with the love and affection missing in his life all those years before he and Brynn got their s**t together. Brynn Fox will make you want to step up being a responsible, nurturing and selfless woman. If there ever was someone who’s made for the youngest Warner—one who can give him the happiness and unconditional love he deserves—it’s Brynn. His best friend. His lover. His world. This woman is quite something else—she has the strongest and bravest of hearts, regardless of everything she’s been through in the past, and you’ll see just how much in this book. Despite all of the bumps in the road these two barreled through in finding their way to each other, the unbreakable bond and palpable, sizzling chemistry they share will make you jealous and yearn for something even the slightest bit close to what they have. These Warners—the immense respect and loyalty and love they have for one another—will absolutely make you want to belong in their family and be one of them badly. This book blew me away completely. It left my jaw hanging with the curveball it threw my way. I definitely did not see where that road trip back to the ranch was taking me. It was shocking and painful, but it still left my heart filled to the brim at the end of the day. ESCAPE isn’t just a beautifully heartbreaking, yet hopeful tale of unrequited love and second chances, but it’s also an addictive, suspenseful adventure you wouldn’t ever want to end. This isn’t your typical cowboy romance at all. No—this book is exceptionally so much more than that.

I love all Ms. Crownover’s books, this one was amazing! I wish it were longer, I want Cam’s story and his HEA. I would also love Webb and Ten’s story!

I loved that Brynn and Lane we're able to just jump in and know what they wanted, there wasn't a lot of the constant fighting that you see in the second chance romance books. I loved the added character of Cameron, and the mama bear mentality Brynn instantly has for him. Getting a glimpse of Royal was fun and awesome. I'm glad Jay decided to write these books, I haven't found anything like them and I'm hoping she continues with Ten and Webb!

I loved it. Now I need Webb's story.

Brooding cowboys are a romance subgenre favorite and Crownover continues her heartfelt romantic series “Getaway” with this tale of tall and sexy cowboy Lane Warner and the woman he’s always loved but will never have Brynn Fox. As the youngest and usually overlooked Warner brother, Lane was proud to be Brynn’s protector at school since they were children until the day she accepted his father’s help instead of his because the dangers she faced were too big for a teenager to help with. For years Lane had stood by watching until it was intolerable, compelling him to escape and leave the only place his ever called home. Brynn’s life had been far from easy growing up with a mother who could care less about her wellbeing, but she’d made due and could continue her without Lane in it. But she didn’t want to. Not anymore. Not when she’d loved him since she met him, he’d been her best friend and her sole source contentment, and for once she’s determined to put her happiness first and take a chance on them. It doesn’t take long for Brynn to find him and take what she’s always wanted. Luckily they’re both resolved to get it right this time around. The bond and attraction between them has been building for years and the spark is easily ignited and difficult to contain. Although most of the obstacles to get to their happy ever after come from outside, when it comes to matters of the heart, there’s no easy way to get over years of doubt. Lane and Brynn are attractive characters. He’s loyal and she’s strong and loving despite her upsetting childhood. Their personalities that feed off of each other just as much as the warm, caring supporting characters that conform the Warner family who together effortlessly put a smile on my face and hope in my heart. Crownover effortlessly weaves this romance into with a subplot that made for an exciting and suspenseful adventure and helped introduce characters outside of the Warner clan. I had not read the previous books in the series but it’s an error I’ll soon correct as I fully enjoyed this story about family, acceptance, and love. Escape is book #3 of the Getaway series by Jay Crownover. It is contemporary romance, with a happy ending. If sexy and swoony with cowboy style is what you’re looking for a romantic reading escape, look no further than Escape (see what I did there?)

What a fantastic end to the Warner brothers trilogy, another book full of action, suspense and of course romance. Book 3 concentrates on the youngest Warner brother, Lane, and his best friend and step mom, Brynn. Brynn is not your traditional step mom and is actually the same age as Lane and the story guides the reader through the extremely complicated history that these two characters have. It’s a true friends to lovers romance with the addition of lots of action and suspense provided by an adorable teenager named Bauer. My heart actually hurt for all these characters, but probably most of all for Bauer, who has had to deal with and see so many things that a teenage boy never should. During their road trip across America, Brynn and Lane come face to face with the dregs of society, and meet some very interesting people. With a few surprises in the mix (including a wonderful cameo from one of Jay’s other series), we get to see the grand finale of all the Warner brothers and their hot headed independent women. I’m loving this side of Jay Crownover and I’m hoping she continues with this series, I’m looking forward to ‘someday’ when Jay writes the story for Webb and Ten, I think that will make for very interesting reading

I thought I was ready for the youngest Warner’s story; I anticipated the complications that would surround Lane and Brynn due to the nature of their interwoven pasts and the unrequited and unspoken love that they felt for one another, but I could never have prepared myself for just how tortured both characters are by two simple words…Brynn’s ‘no’ to a young Lane’s request and Brynn’s ‘yes’ to someone who would irrevocably change the dynamics of Brynn and Lane’s relationship the very day she uttered that word and even now despite the amount of time that has passed and the reasons behind Brynn becoming a Warner all those years ago. Just like the previous two stories in the series, Escape involves some high intensity situations amongst the heartbreaking and heartwarming scenes between Lane and Brynn. It’s time for them to be honest about their feelings and about the reasons for the dissolution of their friendship, and while it’s clear that this conversation won’t be an easy one and it might stir up a good amount of anger and sadness, if they can’t be completely open with each other, they do not stand a chance at repairing their connection and perhaps even having a second chance at a first time love. Jay Crownover masterfully weaves Lane and Brynn’s past and the actions that destroyed their friendship and made them both miserable with their present - a pivotal time that will either mend their fractured relationship or decimate any chance they have for building a new bond - one that will sustain any further roadblocks and help them to move forward as united and loving partners, sharing a connection like Lane’s two older brothers have with their significant others - the women who brought Cyrus and Sutton back to life and made them whole again. Even though it’s time to say goodbye to the extended Warner clan with the ending of the series, their heart….their fight…their stories will remain with me and with many readers because this series is one that allowed readers to become a member of the Warner family and revel in their happiness as well as witness how they move beyond their painful pasts and find the person who fits them in every way. I’m always in awe of Jay Crownover’s storytelling…as an English teacher, I’m enthralled with well written books - stories that seem to effortlessly use the English language and construct an endearing and entertaining plot line that I just can’t get enough of and time and time again, I find those kinds of stories every time I open up a Jay Crownover original. 5 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

Lane Warner is the youngest of the Warner Brothers, and the most attractive one (al least to me). He’s one of those people who has a beautiful soul and always seeks to help those he loves, his father, his brothers, his friends. It is no surprise that when he was younger he wanted to be everything his father expected from a son, that he followed his brothers and imitated their actions, that he wanted to save his best friends from her own mother and ending up falling in love with her and making the ultimate sacrifice by proposing to her in order to get her away from harm. Sadly, she didn’t marry him because she ended up marrying his dad. Brynn Warner has had the most difficult life ever, neglected by her mother and physically abused by those men that her mother allowed in their home. The only one who seemed to care was her dear friend Lane, and even if she cherished his care and affection, she wanted more from him that he ever gave her, she wanted his love. When he asked her to marry him, she believe he did it to save her from her life, but not because he wanted forever with her. They were way too young to marry, anyways, and when his father told her that she could marry him, escape from her life, she saw an opportunity to a better life. But after she tied herself to the Warner patriarch, her relationship with Lane was never the same. At least, she was safe and in a place where she was loved and protected. The book starts in a decisive moment when Brynn is asked to marry by yet another man. Lane can’t seem to stand it and simply runs away without even knowing that Brynn rejected the proposal. From there, Lane and Brynn start an adventure, one that will define if they’re able to be together once and for all, or if their love is never meant to be. Sometimes your first love can be your last. There’s a series of adventures that make this book one of a kind, an awesome read that will have you want to read more and more until you finish the whole book. Brynn and Lane’s is a wonderful story, full of twists, danger and the most epic first love romance you’ll ever read. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!!

Lane is no gentleman, but boy does he try to be. To the outside world he's easy going, irresistible Lane Warner. Yet looks can be deceiving, he's running scared. He longs to break free and find his own niche in life and follow his heart in love. His inner demons could cost him his heart's desire. Brynn has seen her share of tragedy. Her life has not been ideal, but she got by. With a little love, hope and her own knight in shining armor. Lane is all her dreams come true, but foolish pride and shattered dreams drove him away. Will the love that never was, get it's chance to finally be? Escape thrives on emotion. Yearning, heartache and redemption take center stage as we cruise the highway of love.
