“It's not a line. I care about you more than I should, more than I imagined was possible. More than I ever cared about a woman before.” Cliché romances are always guarantees of good readings. The formula: defenseless girl saved by an enchanted prince still works, even if everyone already knows how this story will end. There is something magnetic in this type of narrative, this kind of innocent and mushy romance awakens the sensitive side of the reader. Escort uses this formula, but adds a tone of actuality to the plot. A reclusive princess, rich, naive and agoraphobic, trapped on the penthouse of a luxury hotel. An unorthodox prince, full of secrets and working as a male escort. Two people from different worlds. Two opposite sides of the coin. Customer and service provider. An unlikely friendship arises, as well as a feeling of protection, until this unconventional relationship ends up becoming something more. The same formula, but with an extra pinch. Escort is a good book. I embarked on the story of Bea and Hugo without prejudice and without expectations. And I was surprised. The characters are well written, a bit stereotyped, but nothing to compromise, the situation as they know each other is rather unusual, there is a past, a reason for them to be like this, reclusive and mysterious. The feelings between them happens immediately, in a short time they are in love, but it is a romance after all, so as already said, these cliches are expected. The whole plot involving the antagonist, Bea's tutor, could have been more explored. He was presented as a great mystery, a great villain, but the conclusion and his disappearance of scene were very fast. The death of their parents would be more interesting if it had some connection with him. This part of the suspense in the plot could have been better worked on. But the key point of the book really is the romance between Bea and Hugo. Everything else is in the background. It was a good read, had a lot of fun, I cheered for the characters and the story kept me curious. Who said cliches are bad?

This is the first story that I have read that was entirely from his point of view. It was interesting. The only negative I felt was how there was little development in the relationship. But I enjoyed overall.

I took a gamble and I won! I avoid virgin tropes like the plague, but ESCORT resonated with me because the premise was original. And for once, I felt the heroine, Bea, made a logical decision instead of asking whomever, she asked a real professional because Hugo – our hero – really is an escort “that way” (another hurrah!). I just loved the European feel of the book, and the presence of art seen through the eyes of someone who appreciates it! ESCORT is original, so very well done: well-written, the characters are well-defined and not your run-of-the-mill stereotypes: Hugo is not an alpha a-hole: he is a gentleman! The writing is smooth, the pace is not rushed, and it’s a very quick read. It was my first book by Skye Warren and it definitely won’t be my last!

This is my very first Skye Warren book, and it definitely won’t be my last! Escort was an alluring and bewitching romance that challenges the boundaries of what true love means. I was intrigued with the storyline immediately, which was a refreshing surprise because I had no idea what the book was about. But from what the title and cover offered, I had to find out more! The love story behind Escort is quite unconventional. It’s more than just two people meeting and falling in love. It blends fascination and apprehension together to form a beautiful tale of tenderness, passion, and devotion. The lives of Hugo and Bea couldn’t be more different; their chemistry sparks an effervescent quality to their unique relationship that strengthens the quality of the storyline. Where Hugo holds secrets and shame, Bea struggles to live a life worthy of happiness and independence. They each see beyond what is in front of them, and look at the soul of the person, knowing them deep down in their heart of hearts. I really liked this book. There were times in the story that I connected more with the characters versus other parts, but it’s the author’s wonderful writing that truly showcases the book’s powerful irresistibility. I loved that the story was told entirely from Hugo’s POV, and think it exhibited his infectious charm, thoughtfulness, and addicting persona perfectly. He’s definitely an unforgettable character! Overall, Escort was a highly gratifying quick read! 4 Stars!

Bea and Hugo’s story was very sad and sexy all at once! Their storyline brought out a lot of emotions from me with things I’ve struggled with in the past. So I liked that I connected with the characters of a more personal level. The chemistry and love that blossomed between the two was very hot and loved every second of it! Loved seeing some familiar faces and hopefully some secondary characters get their own stories!! Definitely a must read!! Arc copy generously provided by author for an honest review

This was a sweet, slow burn with a misty overlay of temptation swirling around it. This isn't a dark read, this isn't sugary sweet read, this is all about the temptation, the pleasure, the aniticpation, and the thrill. It has sexy moments, and they will burn you, but it has so much more Hugo loves, like, loves women. Their shapes, their thrills, and making them want him. Good thing, he is an escort after, one of the most demanded in Tanglewood. He has done so well for himself that he now only works one night a week, Saturday. He has been an escort for a lot of years, since his madam picked him up off the streets in his mid-teens, and that gives him some freedom now that his bank account is cushy. Nobody has ever made him feel though, it has always only been about the sex, until Bea Bea doesn't leave the hotel she has lived in since she was 10. Her guardian makes sure she has everything she needs, but human contact is minimal, her choice. The world is a scary place, so it easier to stay inside, it is a hotel afterall, and it caters to her every need except one. Bea needs to have sex, so hiring it to come to her seems like the easiest choice to make, until she meets Hugo and he wants to bring her pleasure Both of these characters are extremely likable, both are extremely sweet to each other, and they are perfectly matched. The build up to the sex, the build up to the relationship, and the build up to them being together was a slow climb, that plateaued, rather than dropped off. Just a thrilling of a ride, but the journey was the excitement

ESCORT is the first book I’ve read by author Skye Warren and it was a pretty, gentle tale. There was no angst, no OW/OM, just a guy and a girl. Except, the guy Hugo is a male escort and the girl Bea, is the heiress who hires him to be her first lover. This could have been a dark and bitter tale given Hugo’s history which we get through his inner musings throughout the story, which is told in his single POV. It’s actually a sexy tale about discovering a sweet and profound love and I enjoyed every second reading it.

Escort by Skye Warren is the story of Hugo and Bea. Hugo started out poor but has worked his way up in the world...granted it was an Escort world. But now he is well off that he only has to be and Escort once a week if he chooses to. When he gets a 'job' at the L’Etoile he thinks it will be a easy night. But once he walks in the Penthouse suit he quickly learns that this night is going to be a start to something different. Hugo find Bea the women he is to 'work' for is not his usually type of a women. First she is younger, not bitter, and seems very innocent....and he finds her attractive even in her frumpy clothes. Really enjoyed their story!

What a tangled web she weaves... Skye Warren is always peaking interest. Always teasing the recesses of your mind. She has this innate ability to hook you with a scene, a thought, or a promise. It doesn't matter where this "hook" leads you. Mais non, the journey is always going to blind you, distract you, or mislead you. Or maybe it's just Tanglewood... There is no fictional town that could ever compare to Tanglewood. The men hiding in the shadows and depths below the glitter have always intrigued me. The Escort is just another twist in the highlights of this ever intriguing place. Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
